what about a cheaper case, 1gb of ram and spend the money towards a 8800gts 320mb so you can play your games and future games

Why are you getting a motherboard with onboard graphics? Not just any onboard graphics either, but onboard graphics intended for professional modeling use?

Also, I assume you're picking up or already have an optical drive, right? You're not going to get very far with your OS disk without one. Everything else looks decent for the price though.

The motherboard will work, yes - it just seems like a somewhat odd choice. For that price you could pick up a DFI Infinity board, which would be a better choice if you're an overclocker.

For like $50 more, go with a 8800 320 mb GTS.  That way you'll be set to go for DX10.  another thing, the last place you want to skimp prices is your mobo and look for a cheaper case, (the NZXT Apollo is only $70).

Not to mention it's a micro ATX board with only 2 PCI slots. I'd don't know about you but I don't like having my PCI cards right next to the video card. My sound card is 3 spots down from the video card to help with air flow. Your getting a ATX case why not get a full sized board. Newegg has plenty in the $70-80 range.

Why not go with Intel and Core 2 Duo but the 4200 is still a good processor and you should see good performance with that setup
