Well the 280 is more on par with the 4890, not 4870.

so i guess ill get the 280, it run cooler and less noise. hows the cpu?
THE XFX4870 1GB WILL WORK FINE WITH YOUR PSU AS IT NEEDS 2X6-PINS AND THE PSU HAVE THEM.IF YOU WANT BFG GTX 280 OC YOU SHOULD FIND A PSU THAT GIVES THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF AMPERES IN THE 12 V RAIL.YOUR PSU GIVES 18 A IN EACH 12V IN A COMBINED AMOUNT OF 36 A IN THE 12V.FOR THE GTX280 IS RECOMMENDED 42 A MINIMUM. -master-jedi-
How can you know so much about computers but not know how to use caps lock? :P
I hate when people think a card takes like 300watts. a card takes like 70-100, max. (http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/7972-evga-geforce-gtx-280-1gb-superclocked-review-19.html). look for some whole system benchmarks, and you'll find that a full i7 system takes like 400w at peak. Your psu is fine.
do u think it come with a adapter so one of my 6pin into a 8pin?I hate when people think a card takes like 300watts. a card takes like 70-100, max. Now listen. The box of the bfg gtx 280 includes one adapter from two 4-pins to one 6-pin and one adapter from two 6-pins to one 8-pin.You should take two 4-pins from the psu put the adapter and you have one 6-pin.Now take the two 6-pins from the psu ,put the second adapter and you have one 8-pin.now you have one 6-pin and one 8-pin.ok? SUPERCHRONIK,YOU ARE A FUNNY BOY...-master-jedi-Hope that works, cause i just ordered it
