I have a WRT54GS, which is the exact same only with speedboosters and it works pretty good...However, I heard wireless N routers are better for speed and have a much wider range, and they aren't that much more. One problem with my router is that I couldn't use both my laptop or my PC heavily while playing a game online as it would cause a bit of lag, and I my 360 required different settings than everything else (Wireless A, instead of Wireless G). If you opt to get a Wireless N router, also buy a LInksys they are extremely easy to setup as all the steps are inluded in the setup disk inside.

since you want one for gaming then you should get agood one or else you will hate the moment when you bought the router because it wont be playable mostly from the lag.
as Des said, linksys is really good companies and their prodcuts are so reliable.
