So yeah, it's basically a cheap monitor with a couple of dead pixels. How noticable are dead pixels, and are they worth the considerable saving?

Just so you know, it's only one-two dead pixels. Also, it's a very good price for Australia.

No, not worth it. Buy it from bestbuy new for like $250 or less. I gota 21.6" for $200 at futureshop.

I live in Australia. The best other price you can get here is four hundred bucks.

I'll just tell you that a couple dead pikles will drive you crazy if they are near the middle of the screen

Most people don't even realize they have dead pixels, they're not very easy to spot. However, if you do find them they will probably bug you. If you decide to get the monitor, I'd recommend just treating it like you bought it brand new with no problems.

Best advice possible. I've had my monitor for over a year and if I have a small black spot on my monitor, I'll freak out, but then just find out that it's a little smudge of dirt or something. I'm really anal about things like that.

Two dead pixels right in the middle of the monitor might drive you crazy. My bet is that it will be hard not to look for them, especially when you know that they exist. I'd find out where they are before getting the monitor.

a old monitor of mine had a few dead pixel at the bottom left of the screen and it drove me mad
