The specs are just fine for such a low price, but be warned that keys seem to come off of Acer keyboards more easily than most, most notably the arrows.
EDIT: I just read your profile; why do you have an x-fi card if you only have 2.1 speakers?
I have been using an Acer laptop for about a year now. The quality is not bad but not great...The keyboard feels cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for. Also, Acer's come with alot of pre-installed programs.
