Is this normal RAM usage for GTA IV?

When running the game with medium settings @1440x900, the game is using up to 1.7GB of RAM.:o

None of my other games have ever used this much, JC2 only uses like 500MB or something.

Do any other games use this much RAM? Or does it have something to do with it being a crappy console port?

It isn't really a big problem, but if its normal, 4GB may not last us for much longer.:( (With GTA IV open, my total RAM usage is 3.5GB).

Oops, meant to say it isn't really a big problem.

PS. That 3.5GB is with Opera (few tabs) and WMP open.

GTA4 is extremely badly optimized - therefore don't be confused when you see the system usage % in any sector.Sousuke22
