Is this really the best looking game?

No, this is not a knock on the game as I've been doing, I'm just wondering at my settings horribly wrong or is this supposed to be the "best" looking game of the year????

Outside of the picture quality I CANNOT be the only who finds this absolutely horrible looking? Is there something I could do? It just looks like crap, almost from the 90s, but perhaps a step above the 90s? What giveS?

I turned it all the way up and I notice no difference whatsoever.

Try different drivers? Maybe see if they're forcing some setting that's lowering the quality?

I'm uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if that fixes anything. We'll see.

try other drivers (even older ones) , but first check the nvidia control panel / manage 3d setting and see if anything is wrong .

Are you using the FXAA injector? There's far too much color there. Also AF should always be at 16x.

Seeing as 'best-looking' would also include aesthetics, hell no.

As I stated in your last thread, every game isn't for everyone. Games are supposed to entertain you, nothing else. Clearly BF3 doesn't. Why are you still trying it?

On Topic: Post-AA blurs things, so try lowering that and using maybe 4xAA (you'll definitely get a performance hit, though) Everything will look sharper. I usually use 4xAA and 8xAF. BF3 looks alright, but other games such as Witcher 2, for example, were far better looking.

Turn everything to max - it should look a lot better than that.

I'd say Witcher 2 looks nicer anyway. Crysis too.

Turn off POST AA and turn 2xMSAA. Also, do a clean driver reinstalation, uninstall them, use a driver cleaning tool in windows safe mode, reinstall. Make sure your 3D settings on the nvidia control panel aren't all over the place too.

anisotropic at x1 maybe? that would help a little it hink but my game at medium/high looks a tad bit better than iirc ._. somethings weirdyellosnolvr

Anisotropic at x1 means no textures over 3-4 mts away so... Pretty much. Anisotropic filter at x1. I think that I have the game at AF X16 with details in high and terrain in low in this ones, at it looks miles away better:

So anyway, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I uninstalled the drivers and updated to the newest beta drivers. I remove Nvidia Enforcer just incase, and I made sure that Nvidia had no control over my BF3 application, yet I still get a solid 60 FPS and a crappy image. The FPS alone is enough to let me know something is going on. Any other ideas? Or, perhaps can someone take a screenshot of their Nvidia Enforcer , or Control Pannel settings followed by their in game screen so I can try to match that to see if that fixes anything? Other games look fine, so maybe Nvidia Enforcer has gone rogue.. who knows.

I just ran BF3 on max settings, Caspian Border - I disabled one of my 480s, and my fps was between 35 and 50. You should be getting a similar FPS, unless you overclocked your 570.

Nevermind, I just seen you have the Superclocked version.

It is overclocked, but my mention to having 60 or more FPS was me stating that it's normally lower, and that I generally do get lag spikes with everything maxed out.

I've never used Nvidia Inspector, never heard of it in fact.

I restored both my Global Settings and Program Settings to default, then just maxed out everything in game, and I got between 40-50 fps.

I don't think it's the best looking game out there (Either Crysis 2, Deus Ex: HR (For it's art design) or The Witcher 2 is my choice) but it still looks astonishing.

You are... Full of yourself, aren't you? God Fordbid someone has a problem with a DICE created game, I mean Jesus Christ. You guys can't dislodge the stick from your rear ends to help someone resolve an OBVIOUS issue. OBVIOUSLY the game isn't supposed to look like it did in my screen shots, so I wanted a resolution. Is that really something you need to insert your smart-aleck 2 cents about? No, not it's not. So please feel free to visit other threads and be a troll there instead.

Ur writting shows some aggressiveness coming from some embittered person. I replied in 2 posts, and it's a coincidence that the op was the same bf3 paranoid. I'm glad you got ur problem solved.. but it's so evident that the game didn't meet ur expectations n ur only duty now is to flame about it.. you could've used other title on the post so ur hostility towards the game would be less noticeable. You almost nailed it, buddy. I mean I thought you didn't have the brain to even come close, but beyond my expectations once again you proved me wrong. However, you were wrong on ONE front. While I am embittered, it is not solely towards the game.. In fact, I would say 75% of it is towards you, and other people who refuse to believe there is anything wrong with this game and have to FLAME ME, or another poster who agree's, or has a thread of their own demonstrating what might be wrong with the game, or where the coding might be bad.. Instead of actually reading it, they go ahead and insult you. In this case, at least SOME people were helpful, and put aside their BF3 fanboyism to help me out and resolve my issue, most of those people were extremely rude and didn't bother to help, as it is with other threads regarding this game.

Also.. I really don't care for you denying my issue as being legitimate this is what sparks my "Embitterment" as you would put it. Looking at the images that definitely looks like a negative LOD Bias issue and it seems to forcing low quality textures. Set negative LOD bias to clamp, and set textures to "high quality"...

I wouldn't recommend depending on profiles because sometimes they don't work (depending on the drivers and game being used). I would set these settings in the "gobal settings department".

I have games from the 90's. None are that good-looking.:lol: It looks like all the settings are on Low.

Battlefield 3 looks like ass anyways, the game is a blurry piece of crap, filters, motion blur and cheap effects to hide the terrible console quality textures.ampiva

You're not worth getting any help with your attitude.

Why would you set anisotropic filtering to 1? The textures in the distance look horrible. Using 16 shouldn't have a big fps impact at all.
