nope it sucks
gamespot gave it a 9.6 because its horrible and gamespot is famous for giving stupid scores
also 10 milloin people play it because its a horrible game, it just sucks, thats why 10 million people play it
**sarcasm**
Have a try of the trial. It should be on the official web site. You get 10 days free play with some restrictions like trading items and such but so far I have enjoyed it thanks to the reccomendation of a friend.
Hope this helps.
Yes, the game is quite fun, especially as a first-time player. Just play it in moderation..quite a few people get sucked in, play away every minuite of their free time, and experience burn-out and boredom by the time they reach end-game content.
I've actually played and quit the game quite a few times. I'm not currently playing, though I'm considering resuming my play and starting fresh on a new server with a new character sometime soon (might just wait for the next expansion.)
It's definitely worth trying. There's a trial available if I'm not mistaken. Give that a try. If you like it, buy the game and upgrade your account..you get to keep all your progress from the trial period.

Man you stole my thunder i had the "no it sucks that's why 10 million people play it most of which religiously" lol oh well basically snake wow is the most addictive game on the planet, and when it comes to the money you hear people say "i don't like paying to play a game" the money you pay monthly to play wow is probably the best for the buck in all of gaming.
DO NOT listen to the "hip" crowd who feels it the trendy thing to do to hate a game because of it's fame. Most of these folks are the same people who hate our government just because it's "the cool thing to do because MTV told me". Little do these uninformed morons know is that this is nothing more then a repeat of the same behavior shown in EverQuest's prime. World of Warcraft is a great MMORPG that can be played at your own pace up to endgame. If you choose to continue expanding your character after max level, you are going to find the gains are done slowly through raiding/PVP/reputation. A real RPG always makes the first half of the game easy while then providing more of a challenge for less initial gain towards the end, which over time adds up to some great rewards. Even if you didn't plan on playing after hitting max level, you will still find many hours of enjoyment from World of Warcraft.
I'm anti-WoW but go try it out, not going to fill you up with my crap.AlmostUndead
Anti-MMORPG I should say.
I found the world to be pretty neat but the combat and grinding sucks so hard.
I played the game up to level 20 with a few different characters and got bored of it after 2 months.

Exactly your paying $15.00 a month to level up to 70, and get pretty armour doing repetitive tasks over and over again that really don't make things exciting, PVP is luck if you get a kill, you'll be pretty much dead by the end of the fight. Don't expect things to be fair in a MMORPG

I COMPLETELY AGREE. all about what you like. while the world is amazing and huge (to their credit), its also incredibly tedious to go anywhere on foot, and takes forever. also, the combat system is compised of grinding. kill 10 of this, gather 20 of that. i played for 2 months and hated myself even longer for playing that long.

I lived with my old roommate for a year and he has a couple level 70s. I've watched him twink. It was exactly how I pictured it. The most unsocial kid sitting behind a monitor laughing at all the "noobs" as he destroys them with his amazing gear. I can easily bash something that I've watched being done right in front of me.[QUOTE="chrisrooR"][QUOTE="--Ryu--"][QUOTE="AlmostUndead"][QUOTE="--Ryu--"]I found the world to be pretty neat but the combat and grinding sucks so hard.

Take drugs for example, heaps of people do drugs; but they aint good.
Why WoW has 10 million subscribers is because its for low-end **** machines, so heaps of people can play.
Warcraft III had heaps of players, so the Warcraft franchise is well known.
It has a addiction affect (like drugs); even though it's **** you are still hooked.
Is WoW any good...well that depends on what kind of games you like. All of the people saying "WoW sucks", I'd bet, don't actually like MMORPGs in general, maybe don't even like RPGs either. If you are into RPGs, give it a shot, I did and I haven't stopped playing since.
It's much better if you can play with friends though, it is Masively Multiplayer after all. I've found that most people that say "I leveled to 20 and hated it" are the ones that tryed to run around on their own and struggled. WoW isn't a game you should try to solo on, it's far more fun with others.
Have fun

I was just stating the fact he had many level 70s to show that he has played the game a lot. Everyone knows a twink is a level 19 or 29 character with the best gear possible at that level.one of my friends wants me to start playing WoW and i was wondering if it was any good?supersnake930
If you want to waste 2 years of your life on a video game, and then for it to get boring for you after.
No it's a waste of precious life and consumes far to much time, trust me, I played it for 3 years...
