it is just me or does metal gear solid 4 looks better than any pc game out?

Have they released any gameplay footage or is it all cut scenes? Because cut scenes tend to look better than the actual game. I haven't been following it but I know 50% of MetalGear games are cutscenes so I just figured chances are, and I haven't seen any game play my self just cutscenes. SoulPsychadelic

yes but the ps3 is desighned to play games, nothing else. thats why it can run anything a PC can with such limited specs. IMO in a lot of ways it looks better than crysis because has anyone noticed that crysis literally looks liek crap in urban environments??? literally nothing looks good except the coastline and the jungle. Pay more attention to teh more urban screens to notice what im talkin about. Deamon321

MGS 4 rocks on console but dosen't look better than CRYSIS for P.C .

U said u never played any MGS game before , u can get / play MGS 2 : Substance for P.C .

Theres a nice patch for ATI / Nvidia cards to set the games compatibility issues with the G.P.U cards .Make sure u patch the game .

I wouldnt know, all I have seen are those prerendered, non-realtime screenshots of the cutscenes.  No actual gameplay.mrbojangles25

Well, just saw some in game screenshots.  Definately looks pretty nice, and I am sure the gameplay will be exactly the same as before but with a few cool gimmicks (not necessarily a bad thing, either).  Crysis definately looks better, but thats just imo

Actually you are wrong there are a few trailors that were taken from gameplay. The director of the game himself set up the camera angles and everything.

Also it looks good, but crysis does look better. Though i say wait and see untill both games are done because they will only become better.

I dont understand why people like MGS so much, I tried MGS:3 it and thought it was terrible. I really tried to give it a chance and like the game, but I just couldnt. I played it for about 7 hours, most of which was just cutscenes and extremely long dialogue. The camera angle was horrible, and the gameplay was just flat out boring.
In my opinion the thief or splinter series are much better stealth games.

The graphics on MGS:4 do look last gen, and I already said what I think about the gameplay.  Crysis graphics look amazing, but I hope its not all graphics and no good gameplay.

And please no flames from the biased MGS fanboys.

It seems like all games out of Japan (at least those popular in the US) are 2/3 cutscenes and dialogue/text, and only 1/3 interactive gameplay.

I know games like FF and MGS are popular, but I just fail to see why.  And I agree, the Splinter Cell games paly far far better, and the Thief games were truly awesome.  I think I would still rather play Theif 1 or Splinter Cell 1 than any of the MGS games, next-gen graphics or no.
