Didn't motherboard.org do a unboxing on it? I saw the video in my sub box but didn't click it.

why would you want to? preformance in a professional setting was benchmarked BY INTEL and its still worse than SB-E. that means gaming wise at best IB will only be minorly - moderately better than SB's best

but according to rumors im seeing i can get a 5-10% performance boost in normal apps and gaming than with SB. so why not wait half a month for that? not to mention the highest end one being released soon will be the same price as a 2600k. (3770K is what im looking at)

the performance is going to be nearly identical. The only benefit is going to be better integrated graphics and lower power consumption. However rumors are out that say the overclocking is worse as they heat up too fast to match the sandy bridge overclocks.

I will likely get an IvyBridge when it releases, going from a first batch Phenom II AM2+ 940 BE. Its been a great chip but I dont think its cutting it anymore paired with my GTX580.

Yea, I have the 955 at the moment with the same card. I don't know which to get first though, the 680 or the z77 board and chip. I can get one now & the other later, but decisions decisions.

Get the board and chip no doubt, my CPU seems to be holding me back a bit in CPU intense games like Dirt 3 and WoW. I dont think 580 to 680 is worth it at all.

Also waiting for it, coming from a phenom 955 and gtx 570.

I think I'm gonna upgrade my motherboard, CPU and ram and just keep the gtx 570 until the GTX 680 4gig comes out.

I don't think 2Gb of Vram cuts it anymore.

Nice! What I like about Sandy & Ivy bridge is that they have an onboard gpu so you don't need a graphics card so that's handy seeing as you haven't decided yet :)

I'm waiting myself. I've been waiting since january--when I was suppose to have my new build. *sigh* I'm actually not going to purchase an Ivy Bridge but I'm hoping SB processors and motherboards would come down in price by 5-10% or so when Ivy Bridge gets released. Save a little bit of money--i'm cheap these days.

thats BS....intel never ever lets people down, trust me ivy bridge will be the sht. Even the graphics on it will be good enough to rival AMD's and nvidias. So much so that I don't see people needing mid level graphics cards anymore, i.e 99% of people out there.

Hopefully Intel doesn't charge a crapload of money, simply because AMD can't really compete at the high end. :(

i7 3770 will be $332

just looked up my 2 ssd's

4th fastest in the world! 2 at raid 0 might be a wee bit overkill.

Hi Willamette pentium 4, my name is prescott, the 2nd worst processor released.

Hi prescott, I am larrabee, I was going to be such an awesome product, and intel bought a revolutionary game company just to show me off. OOPS CANCELLED

Project offset never saw the light of day, RIP.
