Just bought a new game from the store and cd-key invalid?

Well people, I have just bought the game Gold edition: Age of Mythology and the Titans Expansion

So I installed it and it gave me an error that my cd-key was invalid... I was like WTF, I have just bought it from the store, it was sealed!

Well te store is called MediaMarkt! The weird thing is, my friend also bought it with me so I could play online and gues what happend, same error...

So I asked what his serial was... So he sayd it and it was the same as mine, I was like :|...

So what should I do guys, I really want to play this game online, s if they give me refund, I dont want it, give me a working serial!

Hmm... are you sure you're typing it in exactly as it's written? Because that's the only thing that could cause an invalid CD key at this point... the fact that your friend has the same key wouldn't matter until you tried playing online (although that fact could point to a CD-key problem). I'd call Microsoft customer support first, because the problem isn't with the store.

Hopefully you'll get it working soon... I love AOM, and it's probably my all-time favorite game, but we need more people online these days. :(

Get a replacement from the retailer, if that doesn't work, get a refund and buy somewhere else.

Haha.

Well, Microsoft is actually pretty good about replacing titles that they publish. At least they have been with 360 titles from past experience. Never needed or tried to get a replacement for a PC title.
