Worse ;) The first missions yield the highest framerates. Things only go down from there, for example areas with snow.

Nonetheless, that computer for 300 is quite impressive.

Wow, lol, 15FPS with a 300 dollar rig! Awsome!

Just turn the graphics down a little, reduce the res, and everything will be nice.

You know...? The kind of heatsink where hamsters have to run really fast in a wheel to power the Heatsinks fan. Basic stuff here.

Great build for $300 that would be quite tough to beat for that price. And with Crysis when you hit the snow and alien levels your framerate will drop, so I suggest playing on all medium.

You're lying about something. No dual-core Athlon chip was made for socket 939 below the X2 3800+.

And it's nice that you did it, but where are you going to go with that rig? It has zero upgrade potential, most likely zero overclockability, and is pretty much maxed out where it's at. It's nice that you got a decent cheap machine, but it's a machine with no future.

Nope, there is a X2 3600+ for both skt 939 and the AM2 platform. Slightly slower than the X2 3800+ since it has 256kb cache per core vs 512kb, it's basically a duel core sempron.

Oh, that thing? I'd hesitate to call it an Atlhon 64 X2 processor for the reasons you just stated.

Good job. I'm in the process of building one for around $500 dollars. I think it is cool to see how far you can take it performance wise for not a lot of $$$.

Ignore all the comments from those whose parents buy their stuff for them or have nothing better to do with their time and money. I can appreciate trying to build and game without breaking the budget of the family I support.

Just because his build is being questioned and critisized by some people in the thread, you still have no right to come to conclusions on those people.
