What is your problem? The game on PC is actually better, what are you complaining about? Nvidia is being proactive, that's hardly their fault.
So you are saying that the GeForce 4xx series shouldn't offer anything better compared to the last versions? If so, I bet you would be in the hardware forums complaining that the new series of cards are nothing better.
These days people complain about everything. As for PhyX, that's Nvidia's product, so too bad your ATI card isn't supporting it. Besides, I've told by many people that Batman AA looked and played very well on ATi cards. Again, its not Nvidia's fault that they are taking the initiative.
I am not being an unfair supporter of Nvidia. If ATI were to do this, I seriously wouldn't fault them for it.
http://kotaku.com/5484795/just-cause-2-pc-loves-on-nvidia Square Enix London Studios dropped us this video to show off how pretty Just Cause 2 can be when running on a PC equipped with NVIDIA's latest graphics hardware. I'm not all that familiar with NVIDIA's CUDA technology, and Bokeh lens techniques mean absolutely nothing to me, but I do know a very pretty game when I see one. NVIDIA and developer Avalanche worked together to incorporate advanced technology into Just Cause 2, and the end result of their collaboration is quite lovely. "Just Cause 2 is one of the most visually advanced PC titles ever created," said Lee Singleton, General Manager of Square Enix London Studios. "Working closely with NVIDIA has enabled us to add support for some of the latest PC technologies and help make Just Cause 2 one unforgettable experience." And now I am torn. On one hand, the PC version of Just Cause 2 looks amazing. On the other hand, I really enjoy my couch. Decisions, decisions. Sorry if it's been posted. So what do you think? When they mean latest Nvidia hardware do they mean the GTX 4XX series? If that's so then Nvidia sucks! This is Batman AA all over again. You actually need a GTX 260 and 9800GT on Physx just to see Batmans cape swinging around. It's ridiculous. Now you need a GTX 480 to have realistic water in a lame console port. Why don't they fund, you know a PC game that will really push PC's to the limits, not this....Revan_911
you apparently never played just cause one.. it was horribly buggy still is.. the enemies never stop respawning and for a simple act like nudging a cop the wrong way you can end up with half the lopez national guard down your neck.

I want to get a 5970 because its the best card, Nvidia cant compete so they pull this phys x crap to try to keep us on Nvidia
Actually I have a GTX 260 card. The thing is i am pissed, Nvidia has no clue. If i buy a GTX 480 i don't want just realistic water on a console port from a mediocre game. Because that's all there is to the PC version. The entire video they talk about water and show gameplay videos of water. It's pretty lame. I don't want all that power wasted on a unoptimized console port. Same with Arkham Asylum. They are trying to sell cards by adding unimpressive features and they say you can only run it with 500$ Nvidia card. This is not taking an initiative. What is your problem? Every engineer, MBA graduate in Nvidia has no clue, but you do, right?
What game isn't a console port? We don't have an exclusive called Crysis anymore; the next STALKER won't be out till god knows when and even when it does come out, we don't know that it will be a PC exlusive. So...what should Nvidia do? Not support console ports anymore?
The thing is, at least they are doing something about it.
You don't know what Just Cause 2 is going to be like, you don't know what 480 is going to perform like.
So sit tight and wait for the fact to come out and then complain.

Most games aren't console ports...PC has way more developers than consoles. Not high budget developers but still. Why doesn't Nvidia fund and support PC developers? Instead of Just Cause 2, which i can spot a mile away it's a console game and no PC gamer would ever touch it.[QUOTE="chandu83"][QUOTE="Revan_911"] Actually I have a GTX 260 card. Wait what?... is it out on PSN?The demo's going to be released later today on Steam. It's already out for the consoles in Europe.

good lord, dont bring back memories for me. the game is just down right unplayable. just cause 1 is something you could take the craters to court for. you cant even play the game for more than 1 hour, with out the game going nuts on you and crashing. the amazing thing is they still havent released a patch to fix it.Although I'm not interested in this game, I'm glad they decided to showcase it for PC. Nowadays the "For PC also" is written so tiny and dwarfed by the 360 and PS3 logos.spiderman120988They forgot to add the tiny logo " Game for windows...but only vista and win7, no xp support even if its a console game!!"
stop complaing about visuals, for the love of God.
anyone with a Dx9 card of decent performance or a modest Dx10 card, a solid processor, and 2GB of memory is going to run this game just fine.
"Cant see Batman's cape swing around" thats the silliest reason to complain Ive ever heard.
Please link it so i can download it and confirmed the only vista/win7 support.dakan45
As far as i am aware the demo is only available if you download it from steam, so you will have to install steam and download it from there if you want to try it.

Anyone with a Dx9 card is plain out of luck this is a Dx10 only game (which is odd when you consider the Xbox 360 doesn't use Dx10).
