the graphics was great, but its not a major issue for me as long as the graphics is good enough to make me engaged in the game.the nano suit was awesome specially in WarHead,Maximum speen was excellent.but i have to say,the game can get boring sometimes.and the loading time was crazy long

GazaAli
there not that long and considering the level of graphics and the scale of the game i'd say there warranted.

Crysis is neither good nor bad...its just bleh.Too many bleh games these days...nice eye candy though.

Astaroth2k
If you thought Crysis was bleh, you need to take a break from gaming.

The avatar or even the boss no-clipping through the floor into a room in the carrier. The helicopter not coming close enough for you to jump in at the end. Could have been done alot better imo.

dakan45

I didn't experience any of that...and even then calling it "horribly buggy" sounds like a stretch.

neither me the only thing that is...well not buggy but some times i dare to say weird...is the ai.

That final part was horribly buggy - it was almost unplayable, not only the final boss clipping through so you couldn't shoot him but also the player falling through the floor. It was so frustrating considering how good the rest of the game was.

I'd rather my enemies speak English or German. The Korean voices they used in Crysis just annoyed me to the point where it ruined the game.

Then you simply have a visual impairment. Ok...issue settled lol. Anyways, I have both games and Crysis is more graphically advanced than GTAIV for sure. GTAIV sure is a pretty game though, that I agree. The city is quite amazing.dnuggs40
GTA 4 is not even close to crysis, lol, GTA 4 does not even have AA, DX10, and a wealth of other tech features crysis does. It is a betetr game then most say, as all gamers do is talk about it's graphics.

What were your thoughs after finishing the game?

Solid_Tango

I was disappointed mit ended on such a high note.

At first I was playing and mostly just looking t the graphics, but then as the aliens became introduced, and we got closer to the mountain, I was taking more interest in the story. By the end of the game, abord the carrier, I was fully enjoying the dialogue and was a bit saddened that they hadn't put more dialogue moments in the game beforehand. Then of course I finished the game only minutes later and was disappointed that it was over.

What bored me the most was the "sneak through the jungle" parts. I loved the in-you-face aggresive battles when the US Forces came to the island. Ah well.

In short I felt a bit empty at the end, only because the game had been so enjoyable, was only getting better, and then had ended. :(

I enjoyed it a lot. The atmosphere was fantastic, and I thought the aliens were integrated well into the story (better than Far Cry anyway *shudders*). The graphics were not as amazing as I expected, but still far and away the most impressive I had ever seen.

You should try Warhead. Its scenarios are all pretty bombastic, and the story - and Psycho as a character are quite good.

[QUOTE="split-moment"][QUOTE="Charles_Dickens"]

Well people are always barging into the "I Love Far Cry 2' threads and saying that Far Cry 2 sucks, so I'm going to give it back to them, and say that Crysis sucks. I bought the Maximum Edition in May, and I hated it.

The graphics were a serious letdown. I had been expecting SO much more.

And by the way, my computer is brand new, from Alienware, and people, when they see it on my desk, are always asking me to turn it on and show it to them. These are non-gamers, meaning of course that they're completely non-biased about computer games.

So which game makes their eyes light up in fascination? Nope, sorry, it's not your beloved Crysis. Every time... and I mean every time... without fail... the game that makes them react is GTA 4. I show them Crysis first and, honestly, they don't react at all. Here's what's really interesting though: they don't even react to the water, which I thought was the only good part about Crysis's graphics.

But show them GTA 4 and suddenly their faces light up, and they start pointing things out on the screen. Crysis is over-rated. Meh.

Charles_Dickens

you need to max up the graphics in order to be impressed , the fact that you said that your PC is new and from Alienware make me feel like you don't know much about PCs ,

You're right. I know nothing about PCs. I've only owned 5 of them in my lifetime. The simple fact is that I've been working with computers since before you were born. My father was an electrical engineer who programmed one of the very first mainframe computers from IBM. I grew up with punch-cards scattered about all over the house. Do you even know what a punch-card is? Do you know what an 8088 chips is? I had one of the first 8088 computers right in my room growing up as a kid, because my dad didn't have any place in the house to put it. When my friends came into my room and saw the computer on my desk they all said the same thing, what's that? And then they would ask, what's it for? Then I would show them a game called Zork, and they wouldn't want to go home. To say that I know nothing about computers is kind of silly. Oh well, if you want to believe that.

So you're incredibly computer literate, yet you wasted money on some overpriced alienware PC when you could haveprobably built a better rig for half the price? Why? Just why?

I think that's a moot point...if someone has the cash to spend on a pre-built so be it. I know how to do an oil change but I take it to the local lube place anyways. Some people would rather just pay someone else a bunch of money and get an already built computer with all the software installed, configured, and with a nice warranty and cool looking case.

In other words...smoke em if you got em!

I guess if you got the cash to blow. But still, Alienware? Could have at least gone with a company that doesn't overcharge so much. Bah....I'm probably just jealous because I couldn't justify a pre-built with my cash flow.
