Wrapped up the trilogy. Solid experience, though I noticed a gradual progression as the series went along from survival horror to action horror, but I digress. The third one, for all the whining it was getting upon release, feels underrated in that regard, even if it did deviate some from the other two. So without further ado...

POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW

Pros:

-Decently sized campaign

-Co-op, if you're into the action aspect

-Optional missions

-Weapon crafting depth and selection

-Epic Isaac Clarke curb stomp is still epic

-Great voice acting

-Isaac still lives on

Cons:

-Meh graphics

-Suit upgrades are independent of suit aesthetics

-"Ellie! Ellie!!!!!! ELLLLLLLLLLLLLIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!"

-Trite scenarios throughout the story that constantly seperate you from the group (felt way too forced)

-Co-op, if you're into the survival aspect

-Deviation from claustrophobic environment

-Way too easy

-Game didn't let me (the player) shoot and dismember Ellie's stupid, douche boyfriend

-Game cruelly tricking you into thinking Isaac dies before the end credits

END SPOILERS

Panda's rating: 7.5/10. -1 for move from survival to action, -.5 for lack of difficulty, -1 for not getting a chance to kill douche boyfriend myself

Yup, there's one major spoiler in his text. On topic, I'mma rate the game about the same for very similar reasons. The entire game just feels rushed to me and it's like they just didn't know what direction they wanted to go with the series.

It didn't really wrap up anything cos the ending pulled a mass effect when you heard Isaacs voice. Meaning they will probably bring him back. Which they shouldn't, move on to new characters and go abck to basics

I hit escaped as soon as the credits started, so I thought Isaac had died. I thought it was a decent ending in that regard, I'll go on pretending he died.

I agree with the TC's points though. A pretty good game but the weakest in the series.

On a visual and Audio level it's the best. The Audio is fvcking delicious in that game. But yeah still the weakest. Maybe on par with 2 for me. DS1 is still the king

I didn't read the spoilers, but thanks for the information. I loved DS 1 and 2 and will definitely get the third at some point. I also feel like, at least in the second, there was a slight move away from the core horror of the first (which was what I loved so much about it). Still, I'm sure I'll enjoy the third. This series, at least judging by the first two, is all about atmosphere.

I hope they make the next game set in a free roam environment.
