Spoilers!!!!!!!!! Just wanna point out why I think this game sucks and it's not worth playing... I don't understand how this hame received a 8.5..... Even with the patch, the game is still glitchy and choppy as hell. Thanks to the bugs, some side quests can never be completed. Some Npc will get stuck forever unless you kill them. Crafting system is broken and a complete waste of time, only about 2% of the stuff you find can be used... The rest is all useless junks, the game forced you to spend a lot of time throw stuff away and keeping track of the weights you're carrying which Is not fun at all... Both main story quest and side quest sucks!! 99% of the time is deliver this, find that and kill that. Sorry everyone is poor so they will give you useless junk for rewards.... The best equipments can be bought from the stores while exploring only gives you more junk. The ending part of the main quest was the worse... After 5-6 hours of boring mission, the ending was some sort of power point slides showing me what happened to other towns and people which I didn't even care for. The slot machine and black jack mini game is better than the main game. Anyway, this game is waste of time. Please don't play it.1076751Yeah sorry but your opinion does equal fact a ton of people enjoyed this game and a lot of them think it is better then fallout 3 as well so yeah blog it.
New Vegas is a great game IMO, and I definitely enjoyed it.
So, I respect your opinion that this game sucks for you. Everybody has its opinions.
One of the years best games imo and alot better then fallout3. Hopefulyl Bethesda relizes that there dialogue, story and characters are no match for Obsidian. Would be nice to have both them work on Fallout4, becasue Obsidian did an amazing job with teh dialogue in New Vegas.
Well I haven't came across too many bugs, the new faction reputation thingy is really cool, hardcore mode makes the game much more interesting BUT one thing I really didn't like was the fact that they ended it main mission again without allowing you to keep playing. It's the same issue as in Fallout 3, they'll be releasing a DLC for that but actually you can download a mod that lets you play after the main mission.
Still, they're doing that now so that they can push people to buy the DLC in order to continue.

I've had a phenomenal time playing this game, I'm currently doing the main quest line with some side quests on the side, and I must say that it's better than Fallout 3 in my opinion

Link please? Too lazy to surf the net :P
to me perosnally, it's the best overall RPG in since NWN2->MotB (Alphal Protocol wins the choice-conseuqence role-playing narrative though).
percentage wise, I roughly feel that F:NV has less "deliver this" quests than most RPGs out there.
as for the quality of quests, it's just amazing, a single unmarked Vault 11 quest would put in to shame Fallout 3, which gets a higher review score.

Uh, I already mentioned it in my post there
I haven't played FO3 or New Vegas, or any fallout games for that matter. I just built a beast pc, which game should I play?
I just finished fallout new vegas yesterday. I actually put about 20 hours into the game & decided the choices id made with the charecter were just not working and I also wanted too play it a bit differently. So I started the game over from the begninning and focused on melee weapons and unarmed. and I got alot futher alot quicker and found it much easyer this way. So I just went around killing absolutely everything in site and eventually reached the part where yes man has taken over mr house in the casino without doing any missons atall. Then the game made me do 5 missons before I could get any futher with the main quest, once that was done I went straight for the last part of the main quest. I managed to finish it pretty easy using the melee weapons instead of any of the guns etc. So Id say if anyone is struggiling give up on the guns, I also found the sneak to be pretty useless too.
In some ways it felt a bit like a gta sort of game, because most of the game seems to be focused upon working between all the different gangs which I dont think suited it too much. Its not that fallout 3 was really any better I think its just they havent made any improvments since fallout 3. The graphics are still the game, still lots of minor glitches etc. After playing a couple of the other games last year it does come across as a bit out of date, it does feel like a 3 year old game in my opinion. Thing is though, nothing since fallout 3 has really come out to replace it so its still worth playing. Also I think if you literally just want to do the main quest the game seems to delibertly make it confusing as to what this might be and you can end up doing tons of stuff for the different gangs thinking your getting much futher but really your notprogressing the main quest atall.
I do think fallout 3 was just layed out alot better and a little more time and thought had gone into it. If I was going too say which one to get Id say fallout 3 if you havent played it already.
Yea, the game sucks. Fallout 3 sucked too though, so I wasn't surprised. Not sure why anyone bothers to follow these newer Fallout games, they're so ugly, awkward, and underdeveloped that I have a hard time playing them longer than 5 minutes straight.KHAndAnimeNo, they're both great and superior to the original Fallout games.
I had horrible lag aswhile but found it to be a great game after i tried the DX9 fix on the internet it made the framerates much smoother. But as for not liking it thats your deal I thought it was awesome.
This game has been patched to a pretty good degree, and the mods like Nevada Skies and Electro City make it reach it's true potential.
I know, the game is good but it's full of Bugs and glitches even after the game is patched

Bethesda left > 10,000 bugs in Oblivion, and the community had to write three mods to fix them.
With all the posts about how buggy the Bethesda FO series is, I shudder to think how many bugs will be in ES V.:o

Yeah well...i dont know what were ur expectations about this game...didnt you play Fallout 3?
Didnt even guessed that it will be more of the same??
Well i for once...i knew exactly what to expect when i bought this game...and guess what?I liked the game...Ofc it has bugs(i didnt encounter 1!NOT a single one!)but the majority of them are fixed up by the latest patch...and ALL...and i mean ALL of them are fixed up by community patches...The game runs smoothly for me no fps issue...from 1 day one since i bought it i downloaded the dx9.dll fix for low fps and later removed when Bethesda fixed it officially.
But yeah your right about the story and the rewards...but hey its still an enjoyable game if u are in to post-apocalyptic RPG's...
About the score it received...If u are referring to the "8.5" that gamespot gave it,its irrelevant...Since the reviewers from this site have no clue about gaming in general and they all are casual console gamers and they dont give any valid arguments when rating a game...Their opinions are just their opinions and nothing more...The quickest way to lose in a debate/conversation/etc when it comes to "games worth playing",is to make references about what score "that game" received on gamespot...
Game is just pure awesome and destroys Fallout3 in every way except Radio Stations.
I thought the Fallout series was goign down the drain with Fallout3, but New Vegas stepped it up in a huge manner.
Great rpg no doubt and very surprising as Fallout3 dissapointed me.
Its amazing what some great dialogue, more rpg elements, good story and good questing can do.
This game doesnt hold your hand like alot of newer rpgs these days, sort of reminded me of the old school Fallout games personally. Alot more charm and personality to this game then Fallout3.
A few bugs here and there, but very well done from Obsidian imo.
I felt bored in Fallout3 and like I was beign forced to play it, but with New Vegas I jsut felt so pulled into the game world, characters, dialogue and story. I have started multiple games and they are completely differnt then before, joining new factions,etc..
What a plesent surprise this game was (:

I'll let you know how it received such: GameSpot's idea of a good game and your idea of a good game differs. Not everyone thinks exactly like yourself.
The game was way wayyyy better than fallout 31kalli1Yeah agreed closes thing to fallout 1 and fallout2....
The game is not that bad, but it's not that great either. Fallout 3 was way better. Hopefully Bethesda won't let Obsidian anywhere near the next Fallout game.dangamit
Can you explain why please? Fallout NV had a story that made sense, actual choices, decent dialouge, etc. I hope Bethesda never makes another Fallout game.

closes thing to fallout2...Sucks for you I guess. I enjoyed it a lot even though I loathe Fallout 3.
New Vegas crushes Fallout 3 in so many ways that it isn't even funny talking about it. And that game got a higher score. Goes to show how bad the reviewer bribing has become.
Once I installed FOOK the only bug I ever encountered were a pair of misplaced desks that were stacked one into another. How can people play through a Bethesda game is another thing that completely eludes my understanding.
