so i just went to best buy and bought a HP Pavillon DV6607 for $620. its got

Dual Core 1.73 Ghz
1 GB DDR2 SDRAM
120 GB 5400 RPM HDD
Nvidia Geforce 7150M Graphics
Windows Vista Home Premium

Did i make a good choice? its my first laptop :D

yeah that sounds like a good deal. depending on what else you got, like warranty or service plan? sounds good, not bad. i mean its not a top of the line laptop, but its really cheap and all you need.

it's a pretty decent notebook for the price. you probably could've gotten some better specs if you shopped around websites like HP or Dell (when you use coupons). Also, check out the buy/sell/trade forums on notebook websites of users selling their notebooks. sometimes they give really good deals.
