The mods he mentioned dont break those rules. They don't affect the economy, the client, or the characters. Just the UI.Furthermore, any activities not intended by game design which affect the economy, the client, player characters or the world itself have a tremendous negative impact on the potential enjoyment for all players. The effects of these activities take many forms including a bloated game economy, server instability, and allowing unauthorized access to accounts, computers, and player data.
THATS where your programs fall under, nice try, even if all your friends use it, it does not mean blizzard accepts it. If all your friends decided drinking the stuff under the kitchen sink was fun, would you take a sip? lol

[QUOTE="flclempire"]dont use modification programs, haBlitzkrieg05
I hate to tell you but almost everyone I know that plays this game. Including my friends, guild and other people Ive met thru where I work that Ive talked to about WoW. Use mods such as a co-ordinate mod. If you've never played this game dont come in here just to say something stupid like that. And if you are going to say something like that at least expand on it and try to sound intelligent. And yes. I do realize that if I played the game without any modifications whatsoever I'd be fine. but these were approved mods. Or mods that fit within blizzards specs. So this is why I dont get it.
They banned you and you still don't get it? Then you are lost.so you get banned for using game mods and come here to complain to us? sad sad sad
fearless_RTSer
What's even sadder is you just wasted part of your life to type that. You could have at least typed something useful.

Ya I use atleast 20 mods or so, and have been for over a year. Blizzard doesnt have problems with mods, they just say to expect problems with compatability, thats it.
They dont like cheaters, though, and the minute they think (they dont really need evidence or research) someone is cheating, they boot him off. No judicial affairs department, no chance to explain oneself....just booted.
Dear Topic Creator:
I hope you will take this as a sign. Trust me on this, Blizzard just did you a favor. With in a year or 2 ( like me ) you would have suddenly realized one day...... "wow ! what have I been doing with my life all this time ? " And then come to the sad realization that you had spent about $150-$200 on a game, and you had NOTHING to show for it, other than a game character that has a large e-penis of L33t gear.
This game took away a year and a half of my life, and I so wish I had that time back. After dealing with all the frustrations of the game, and the gold farmers runing the economy on almost every realm......
Trust me they did you a favor..... As for your lost money and spent time so far.... It sucks and I feel for you.

You may have something installed or using somthing you don't even realize is bannable.
Programmable keyboards that use automatic button-combos are bannable - you don't have one of those do you?

I dont have one. But why would they be bannable if blizzard sells them in the world of warcraft store??
They're pulling a Valve on you, saying that the bans they give out are always right. That sucks man. Hopefully they get back to you. It's almost like they don't want your money!SimpJee
It's feels like forever waiting for them to respond. Im guessing its just going to say something that makes me feel bad and blames me for it all. If they dont work something out with me im going to the BBB.

regardless, if he got banned, there must be something wrong. and in the very simplest form, ANY mod is not allowed by ANY TOS agreement. Read it.
I quit WoW because of same exact reason. The game is full of l33t e-pen kids who have no life at all. I stick to FPS. There you can play with idiots and have fun while blowing away someone's body across the room.Nerfing^ definition of a noob

Don't insult me, It'll be the worst thing you'll ever do. Thank you. What am I saiyng. This is coming from a guy that plays WoW, lol.
This is why I don't get into WoW. It's not worth it. Maybe someone made a complaint, but dude, in an online game don't run any extra mods that haven't been supplied by first party companies. Usually leads to trouble otherwise.
Leeeeerooooy Jennnkinnns! Wonder how many people wanted his account closed down?
Actually, Leeroy Jenkins closed his own account down. People would whisper him for no reason asking him to do the LEEROY JENNNKINs catch phrase. The guy would get about 50 whispers within an hour! Anyways. OP, forget about getting your account back. I've seen many peeps get either hacked for no reason and get their account banned. Some use programs not approved by Blizzard, so those people get banned pretty quick. Try DoAC or GW, good games right there! This is why I don't get into WoW. It's not worth it. Well...yes, you don't have anything to show for your money paid to play a game, but then again, you don't have anything to show for paying for cable/satellite/whatever to watch TV either.
I hate it when people complain about paying for games, and then complain about how much time they "wasted" playing it. You need to remember that playing an online game, or any game for that matter is entertainment. ENTERTAINMENT....thats what you get for your money.
Paying for and playing an MMORPG is the very best BANG for the buck of any entertainment, considering how much entertainment you do get for what you pay.
One other thing to remember is that too much entertainment is as bad (or worse) than no entertainment at all...
Gotta go..WOW is calling...then again, maybe its EQ...could be Battlefield 2...or....Guild Wars....nah..never mind, it was FAMILY GUY. :)
Life is short..PLAY HARD :P
I agree. It's just like watching a movie: you pay $10 for like 1-2 hours of entertainment. Would you say that the $10 and 1-2 hours are life wasted?Well...yes, you don't have anything to show for your money paid to play a game, but then again, you don't have anything to show for paying for cable/satellite/whatever to watch TV either.

btw,out of curiosity i clicked topics starter profile and shows banned from gamespot. lol?SorapakFirst WoW, now Gamespot he must be really having a bad day. Coincidence? I think not! After seeing above what has occurred, I really got to see the excuse for this one.
All of this random banning is done for one simple fact:Wow, guess I'm not the only one that see this. WoW an MMO. MMOs have a lifespan of their popularity. It happened to SWG, EQ and UO so WoW isn't a no brainer. I'm a hardcore gamer and been one since I was a little kid. WoW use to be toward the hard-core gamers and Warcraft fans, but now they're pushing more and more into the casuals. Take for example the PvP system. You had to grind almost 18 hours a day to get High Warlord/Grand Marshal gear. Now it takes only a week to get a Swiftblade which almost took my WHOLE entire day to spend grinding for rank within a span of 3 months to get! That's harsh.
Blizzard wants more money from people, so they just ban people and make it EASY to get a copy of a game again to throw away more money.
Blizzard will rot and burn in hell for this one day, they'll go out of business after losing trust with their clients, this is just a start.
I myself never purchased WoW because it's from Blizzard, and we all know how WELL diablo went with multiplayer..........
It's a cheater company that I would never pay even $10 even for a 10/10 game from them, because they would some how end up cheating you for your money.
Okay so maybe I'm not being all that serious, but it looks like they are good at doing this.
Think of it this way:
Wal-Mart is a huge franchise now and it's just an amazingly huge business, and big businesses lose poroper respect and trust from their customers, however, SMALL Business, or private businesses value that they keep their respect for customers.
Blizzard has become big, it's almost as though they have arrogance and ego with their rules on "NEVER OPENING THIS ACCOUNT AGAIN" , they can shove it up there asses.
Blitzkrieg, why even bother yourself with this game? Play Ashen Empires or something, 100% satisfaciton.

Good story, and as for WoW it is stupid. But I am proud of you for raising hell.So yea. I started playing WoW about 2 months ago. I managed to get my undead priest up to a 39. I used the UI mods like Auctioneer and Cartographer just to help me out along the way with co-ords and to find stuff easier at the auction. Other than that i haven't done anything else that could fall under a reasonable offence to receive a permaban. I didn't get a warning that I might have been using something that Blizzard didn't approve mainly because blizzard allows those types of mods in their game I wont lie, I am a complete noob at world of warcraft but I made sure that these were allowed in the game and I know many people that use these same mods. But somehow today I get an email that says.

Blizzard EntertainmentFor one I did nothing to harm anyone in the game. I didn't do anything of what they listed in the part I highlighted red. And if you go to the forums and even to the better business bureau site there are a lot of complaints on the same problem. The game masters say that they stand behind all of their bans but I see how glitchy some of their stuff can be so it makes me wonder if there isn't something wrong with their system. So until they respond to me with one of those emails which will probably just be a dead end and blame me for all the problems all I can do is just sit here and wonder what I could have possibly done to receive a permaban.
I mean if they would have given me a warning and continued to do something and I knew about it, I guess I would understand. But they didn't do anything like that. They just ban you and laugh that they just got your money and hope you'll go buy it again so they can swindle you even more.
By the way if you can't tell, I'm in a bad mood about the situation. Kinda sucks when you spend almost 100 bucks on a game just to have them ban you without letting you know they might have a problem with something that I was unaware of. Its not like I was modding like Halo 2 or something. These didnt help me, except to let me mark certain spots on the map and give me the best price to sell stuff for at auctions.
I really hope that I can somehow get my character back.
