You could have gotten a better GPU than that with the money that you spent, isnt' that card between the 5770 and 5850? Looks like it is comparable to the 4890 in performance. While it's not a bad card to game with, i just think that a $1200 could have gotten you a more pwerful card.

yea i wish you can replace that GPU, you should have consulted us first. But still, great PC, you can CF another one later.

You spent too much on the CPU/RAM, waaay too much on unessential components, and too little on the GPU. A C2D with HD5870 can outperform those specs in gaming.

i was on here a while ago and was recommended the 5850 or 5870 over what i currentley had in mind the 5770 so i settled in the middle on the 5830 cuz even the 5850 was $85 more for what seemed like a marginal improvment

Don't get us wrong, it's still a nice card for gaming right now. If you would have dropped the i7 930 to a 920 what price drop would that have been? I can tell you that you wouldn't have noticed any performance drop at all with that change. AN i5 would have been even better. Pretty much an i7 without the HT, which games don't use anyway.

on cyberpower if you get a x58 I7 config the 930 is the lowest avaialble. my thought was that this card would be good to last me a while and mabye in a couple years when they are dirt cheap i could grab another 5830 andgo crossfire that or just trade up cuz cyberpower charges a premium for GPUs but everything else they do is really nice.

I see....that' strange:?

Well your CPU is going to be around for a long time I can say that much. Those things are power houses. The only real change I would have said would have been to get an i5 instead of i7. It may be just me but I think an i7 isn't worth the price, if you are only gaming minded that is. If you are doing other CPU intensive tasks then yeah, i7 all the way.
