The statue of the Noble Team is high quality, and it comes with other goodies that make for the best package deal. The worst collector's edition I've purchased was the God of War 3 CE.

Ocarina of Time/Master Quest for the Gamecube might have been $70 actually, since it was supposed to be a preorder bonus for Wind Waker, but I got it separately... Not sure on that since it was years ago and it wasn't my money. It was probably a ripoff, but I enjoyed the game so it's all good.
$80 AUD for Mafia 2 the day it came out. Never done that before. Also paid $85 (50 + 35) for GTA and it's episodes at two different times last year. Honestly, I think Mafia 2 was more worth it. :P Will be paying $76 AUD for the Balls of Steel Edition of Duke Nukem when I import it from the UK.
70 when wow first came out. Store raised the price since it was in huge demand and stupid me bought it. I've bought some 50 dollar games. Now i just wait till they get cheap.
I'm not sure exactly, but I think the New Vegas Collector's Edition set me back the most for a PC game at $80 including taxes. I don't usually get Collector's Editions though.

gross. mine was super mario 3, it costs me over $80 of my own money when I was 8. For a 7 year old kid, I paid $69.99 for Roadrunner on the SNES. You know the bird that goes "MEEP MEEP" being chased by Wiley Coyote. It took a long time to save up money from my allowance. Turns out that game was super hard, and super craptastic.
$50 is the most I've paid, with the one exception of the $90 Half-Life 2 platinum package preorder back in 2004.
(Those damn Valve and Battlefield games are hard to resist)
I made a decision a while back to boycott any non-special edition game that retails for higher than $50. It's only a matter of time until they go on sale then I snap it up.
I still remember when N64 games were going for $70 US. However this past summer I bought 2 copies of Starcraft 2, one the EU Collectors Edition (I live in the UK) and the other a North American version to play with friends.
A lot of money has been spent on SC2 it seems. I'm debating whether to get the Crysis 2 nano edition, I had it pre ordered then cancelled. 130 euro is a lot of money. Anyone know if the backpack comes separate or is it all together in one box?

There is absolutely no way that is worth 130 Euros unless it comes with a full body platinum armor suit. Seriously...just save your money and get the regular edition.

This past weekend at Best Buy I saw at least 10 Halo Reach LE boxes for 89.99. I really hate when companies say a product will be limited and you can still buy tons of copies months later. Anyway the most I ever paid for a game was $79 for DJ Hero
