[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"][QUOTE="HOMIE_G64"]Wait until you get to later levels. Then it gets boring because you don't use your mind anymore, you use run n' gun tactics found more on Halo than Crysis... and Halo 3 has better AI. Don't trust me? Wait until you play as much as I did. It is even worst for you because when I played Crysis, people actually played online. Now, there is half the amount of servers there were before and barely any players to fill them. Shame.mfsa
I dont know wtf you are talking about. The only run n gun parts are the alien parts, which is essentially the last hour or two of the game.
Play as much as you have? I am on easily my 15th turn on the game and each time has been different.
I do see what you mean, however; towards the end it just seems more efficent to run n gun. But stealthing, fist-fighting, etc is still fun the whole way through.
Yeah, the latter stages of the game are arguably weaker thanks to nanosuit restrictions, but it is less than one third of the game, and there are some awesome set pieces like the retreat from the giant alien walker and the VTOL scene (though I had about 12 fps during the VTOL stuff for some reason and I was pretty damn pleased when it was over) that offset the weaker gunplay.
The game does go downhill a little, but I still happily give it a perfect 10/10 score despite the weak ending - and besides, when the campaign is over, the game is only just begun! Crysis is all about having fun with the tools and the environment. I could easily see someone not actually playing past Assault and still having an GOTY experience thanks to how much freedom there are in the opening stages, and thanks to the crazy good editor. Who would have thought AI flow charts would be so easy to get to grips with and so fun to fiddle around with?
I am sure I've spent more time in the editor than I have with the campaign.
yea there are some amazing usermade missions and maps already, its quite amazing imo.
