Which do you prefer?
I personally enjoy both on occasion, but KF seems like a slightly deeper game (and I know more people playing it).

I personally love L4D. And with all these new updates for L4D2, I love it even more. I can't get enough of versus.
You cant really compare the 2, but I prefer KF.IantheoneEh, they're both co-op survival horror games, figured it would be a vaguely interesting topic. ;)
The L4D series feels like there's no direction for the players. No story, no character progression. Just mindless jump in, jump out co-op play. I enjoyed L4D 1&2 but only to a certain extent. The game has that valve polish and the co-op play can be a blast, especially in versus. It just got stale quickly and needs more variety imo.
KF on the other hand, is a great fun co-op game. The level system with perks and the weapons are all fun to play with. The guns feel effective, the sound effects are good, the maps are decent. I feel more threatened by the enemies (Scrate, Flesh Pound, Patriarch) But it also has cons. It lacks polish, there's bugs and the game can randomly crash and shut down the whole window without warning. The VO can become tiresome and annoying at times.
Both are great games, I recommend both to anyone. But I'd say Killing Floor is more fun and worth the money.
If im with 3 of my best friends and we have to decide on a game its pretty much always L4D 1 and 2.
If its any other case, KF. KF got a brilliant perk system, the whole game just feels right, CAN be very very challenging and tactical and the way you hande the weapons in the game is just mindblowing!
So.. KF.

Ok, please educate me. What do you mean by this?
I admit I haven't played KF but have watched a ton of videos on it and (from what I have seen) it just looks like a cheap-looking version of L4D.
Not the best looking game and the dialog is silly but kf requires a decent organized team. When you get a couple of morons just out to get the most kills usually wipes out team..So kf appeals more to people who like the game harder and requiring strategy. My friend hated the game at first but he got used to it he loved it.killing floors gunplay is much better and satisfying, and just dont really like l4d, not for any particular reason :P

Killing Floor came out first.. Ontopic I found that I couldn't actually play L4D2 as much because of it being censored in Australia, I just didn't feel like it was very fun watching zombies disappear when you kill them. How can you say it has no direction? L4D as a series is more controlled and directed than most MP games for a few reasons:The L4D series feels like there's no direction for the players. No story, no character progression. 1. Each level has a beginning and an end. In Versus you start at the bottom of a map and then work to the other end. Most other MP games just dump you on a a map with no story or continuity at all.
2. There's continuity between each chapter. They're linked together like a narrative.
And the variety comes from the changes in level design and the type of tasks you're presented with. Filling up the car, defending the concert, bridge run etc.
Haven't played L4D, but I picked up KF and man that game is hard. I haven't played with people yet, but I can tell that you definitely need some teamwork to get through it if the solo play is any indication of the difficulty (I've only played normal too :o)
Team play is definitely a step up from solo play. And yes, the game is somewhat difficult. The zombies don't go down too fast, you gotta watch your ammo and your position, you feel like a pin cushion once you start getting hit, and the Patriarch is just... hard. Very hard. But very fun. :)Haven't played L4D, but I picked up KF and man that game is hard. Considering it's Jiggly, it's still uncertain if he had help from several pro friends then kicked them to make a screenshot of him going "solo", but hell on earth is no walk in the park in any way you play it.Haven't played L4D, but I picked up KF and man that game is hard.
