L4D vs CSS vs COD4 ahh decisions, decisions...

Hi guys! I was wondering if you can help me to decide whitch of this game is the best choise. At first i was thinking about buying Left For Dead, but then i realised that L4D2 is comming out soon so i started to think is it still worth it... Then i thought about Counter Strike Source, this game one of the best multiplayer shooters out there since the year 2000... However the price of Call of Duty 4 dropped significantly, and COD series was always awesome... although Modern Warfare 2 will be released soon... i wanna buy a game that will last longer than few months... soo could you help me to make the right decision? cheers xD

CSS. i love CoD4, but MW2 is going to be released very soon so it's really too late to get that. CSS came before both L4D and CoD4 and still remains to be one of the most played online games in the world. in fact, it'll likely outlast the other 2 titles.

I say buy CSS, because it will ALWAYS be there. CSS community is huge, unrivaled for an FPS on pc.
However, when COD: Modern Warfare 2 comes out, snag that as well. Well, you got about a 2 year period for that, but it's really most fun immediately when it comes out.

Counter strike sucks. Don't hate I've owned it for a long time. But it gets EXTREMELY repetitive. I enjoy to mod Insurgency A LOT more. And its just as difficult if not more. I'd say get COD4 for the single player story at least. It was AMAZING and you will be missing out if you don't get it.morrowindnic

I also played CS for quite a few years. And I just can't stand it anymore. I know it way too well. Too repetitive, yes. But for someone who's just starting.. it's their turn to play it incessantly.

And CoD4 can hardly be taken seriously. The single player story is like the worst Hollywood B-Movie. It's fun, immersive, but not to be taken seriously. And horribly short. CoD games are best for multiplayer (so wait for MW2).

CSS = a timeless classic. CoD4 and L4D are both cool, but their life span is short compared to counter strike.

I know it's not in your list but you should try Bf2 one if the best game on PC and with the new patch it's even better

It has SCAR, Ak and g-36 also alot more weapon there 6 class with 2 unlock each and 3 different weapon depeding on what side you are(Euro,Middle-East,USA)

Vehicules too Plane,chopper,tank,boat and jeeps!

Hmm we did not point it out right, so let me explain, its not borring as slow and pointless. What i mean is that it gets old pretty quick, after 2 weeks me and my friends got bored. Mainly it doesnt worth the trouble since it gets old pretty fast, it aint cod4 or cs.
