I feel that they should have done it sooner, but at least they ported it.

I already beat it on the Xbox, but only played one DLC mission before I returned it. Ill probably want to play it again, and go through all the DLC in a few years if there is some sort of GOTY edition I can pick up on the cheap. Hopefully they don't botch the port up too badly.
It better not be like the shoddy port of GTA 4 to the PC. I'm not getting my hopes up seeing as how it uses the same engine.
Will probably try it....just cause they used that FACE RECOGNITION method to do the characters. I still want RDR though...I feel that they should have done it sooner, but at least they ported it.

I'm pretty pissed I got it on PS3. It runs pretty poorly but I've already beaten it so I won't get it until it goes cheap.
Aren't team bondi non existant now? I thought the company went under

Rockstar owns the IP and is having a different studio do the port. They told us that back when it was announced.

Ahh I see. I was never very up to date on all things rockstar and team bondi anyway. Every week sounded like a new problem. Anyway carry on :P
I rented it on the 360, game is really boring for me, some poeple may like it, but I returned it after a few hrs of play

Hopefully they do a better job than GTA4

A different Rockstar studio this time, thankfully
I'm just glad they ported it to the PC.
This game is a perfect example to remind me to not put all my attention on the review. The reviews are through the roof and I bought it for PS3. To me, the game was just meh. The graphics and storyline are great, but when attempting to solve the crimes, I felt like my actions had no consequences. Unlike, say Heave Rain, where your actrions had true consquences to the gameplay AND story, LA Noire didn't do it for me. But, thanks Rockstar for the port. Can you give us Red Dead now?
With Heavy Rain I felt the actions changed the gameplay (different levels) but the story was the same all the way through...I'm just glad they ported it to the PC.

I honestly would be more interested in Alan Wake.. IDK what it is about that game, its just the atmosphere, story and the like are captivating that I really haven't seen anything quite like it.sSubZerOoWOULD LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE to have Alan Wake on PC. After all that false promise and that INTEL Video, I still want to play it.
Is it THAT bad? I really thought this one would be good...they had a HUGE marketing rollout. Gameplay is bad? Story at least good?Owned it on PS3, beat it in a week. Underwhelming game is underwhelming. Don't expect too much out of this game and you won't be pissed off in the end.

Same here, I've put off buying Alan Wake and even RDR in hopes of a pC version. I don't know how much longer I can't wait before just giving in buying buying wake on 360.
As for LA Noire how similar is it to Heavy Rain? Is the story just as dead with intersting game play atleast?

the gameplay consists of walking around a crime scene until the joypad vibrates. you press a button and he picks up a clue. you rotate the analogue stick to examine the clue. if its relevant the joypad vibrates again and you press a button to read the clue. you compile the clues and use them during the interrogation sequences where you get to respond truth, doubt or lie to witness statements.
and then theres a ton of saints row 2 style driving and a sprinkle of gta iv style clunky shooting.
despite all that it's stylish and well written and i'd still recommend trying it, if you like story based games that is, although id wait for a price drop first
Doesn't have necessarily to be an awful port such as Gta IV, which is still unplayable for me..
Probably goin to be simply the same than in console with minimal texture improvements and differnet graphical options with filtering and higher res improvements...
Didn't get it for console, storyline looks really awesome with that face technology but meh.. i liked mafia II, despite the terribad storyline
