I am planning to get a laptop, main usage being related to work, but since am into gaming i was wondering if such specs could run current games too.. As regards work am pretty sure such specs are more than enough in my case.. I am new to PC gaming so your feedback coudld be of much help. Following are the hardware specifications :- - Intel Dual Core T4200 - 17" LCD (Glare Type) - 4GB RAM (DDR2) Memory - 512MB NVIDIA GF9200MGS (its on a very special offer so that's why am getting this particular model) Thanks in advance for your feedback/assistance...

I'm not a computer genius myself, but I believe that you will be able to play many of today's games at either Low or medium settings.

You're going to find that a 9200M GS is not suitable for gaming. It will allow most games to start... but then run like a slide show.

Minimum desired Nvidia 9series GPU in a laptop would be a 9600M GS or 9600M GT and even that maybe insufficient for many shooters.

If you plan on playing a lot of FPS you will need a minimum of a 9800.

You should be alright as long as you don't attempt to play games such as Crysis. I have an 8600GT in my laptop and I can run most games from the past few years on medium to high.

Yeah that thing won't do very much for gaming at all. Unless your willing to spend quite a bit you will find that be the case a lot of the time.
