i would say do yourself and the game a favor. as demonstrated by the reviewer on this site... IF YOU DON'T LIKE PVP, DON'T PLAY THIS GAME. (it would have been better for the reviewer and the game if he had just stuck to cuddling with his NPC monsters and never stepped foot in fury.) however, if you enjoy online fps sorts of games against real players but want a deeper customization to your character abilities, this game is great. i've been playing it for a few weeks. and i love it. it makes the pvp in gw look like the zombies in dawn of the dead; sloooooooooooooooow. the abilities are pretty powerful and the charge system they are based on is very flexible and strategic. maps and gametypes will be added and updated as the game evolves ("age of the chosen" around december 14 is the first gametype/map/ability additions as well as some existing feature overhauls).
anyway, i won't go on and on. i'll just say, if you like pvp and fast paced play, coupled with a LOT of abilities and possibilities, definitely worth it! if you don't have any inclination for pvp, don't like to design a build, or can't follow fast paced action (seriously, if you don't like any one of those things)... stay far away.
