I've heard about 2 weeks before release.

Peorders available Mid-October, probably the 15th, on Steam.

Oh, a date for preordering on Steam. That's awesome news. I get amazing pings (5-10) but my download speeds are ass (30-50k/sec) so I wasn't looking forward to the L4D download, but if I can start preloading in October, I'm a happy fatshodan.

This is good news. I am getting it for sure but I have friends who are on the fence so this might help them in making up their mind.

the article mentions that it'll be 10% off if you pre-order, but it doesn't mention what the retail price will be. :|
