retail for sure. if i buy it online i will probs cap and i hate having to download games online after a fresh install of an osZythyl
If I get it, it will be on Steam. Game boxes for the PC just sit on my shelf. Only reason I ever even get them out is if a game requires a CD in the drive. Other than that, they just collect dust. And anymore developers don't really throw bells and whistles in a retail package (unless you buy the collector's editions), so, you're just getting a box with a DVD/CD. Not really any point.
And since I don't have a slow internet connection, I don't really mind waiting for a download. I don't reinstall my games or OS that often anyway.
It's basically the same thing.
Registering your key on Steam is pretty much the same thing as buying it on Steam.

Except that one of the above doesn't involve a 7GB download! Some people might not have the realistic means to download a file like that, and they may not have the means to back it up once they've got it, too, making them even more uncomfortable with the thought of downloading it incase they have to do it all over again.
There are some weird internet connections out there. I get 5 ping when I'm gaming on servers in my country, but my max download speed is about 100k/sec, and it's a fair bit slower than that on Steam. A friend bought me Hitman on Steam over the weekend and it's only at 60% right now.
I'd think Preloading would begin around The Last Week of October/First Week of NovemberJodan77
I am calling an intervention for you, you clearly have a problem.
Personally , I like downloading now, I can never lose/destroy/scratch/Frisbee the discs that way. Plus no damn waste in packaging.
It gets tossed in the ever increasing human waste pile anyway.(eventually after you tire of looking at it)
I do not even keep DVD cases anymore. Just the inserts in a Large DVD wallet.
