I didnt like the demo. I have lots of reasons as to why I don't like the game.

Lack of story...I like a decent good story, even if it has to be a soap opera kind.

The sound effects on the guns, don't sound so realistic.

No detailed explanations for the characters? Maybe a few pages of character information and relations?

Why do online players always get in the way? Most of the time I try to shoot a Hunter or other boss infected, a teamate get's in the way. That doesnt happen in single player.

As I expected from Valve.. Voice acting is again.... just incredible!.... & Does anyone else think that the game looks really sweet ? :D .. & perfomance is really flawless even when so many zombies are on the screen.

Only thing I have to say is the PC version blows the 360 version out of the water. This game looks extremely bland on the console.

I was almost put off from the game when I was playing the 360 version, but I just got the PC demo and I'm sold. Also controls are so much better, I'll just have to find another game to play with my buddies on the 360 because that aint worth it...

The game isn't meant to have a deep involving story or to be particularly realistic, it's meant to be fun (which it does in spades IMO). This is a definite buy for me.

Thats amazing even when the emphasis was on MULTIPLAYER. Valve will probably add a story but it will be in the Half-Life 2 way of things.. That being said its a broken RECORD thats ALL I hear you cry about in EVERY L4D topic, infact it seems like YOU can't avoid posting in it.

Based on your complaints its the fact of the matter you simply don't want a multiplayer game.. You wanta singleplayer game that is tightly fixed towards a story line.. This is not it, I am quite sure people would get annoyed if a person kept complaining about Starcraft 2 that it wasn't a TBS.. Same thing, L4D is clearly for multiplayer, we understand that you don't like it beforehand.. So basically your first part is based upon preference where clearly you don't like what the game is suppose to be. Secondly the guns are a bit of a nitpick but I really can't argue with that becuase like the first its tastes.. But then the last one you some how blame the game on the fact you had poor allies or/and you were poor you self.. We get it, its not your cup of tea.. The game is ok, but at 50$ I though the game was not really worth it. I could reinstall Serious Sam: the second encounter instead and make a coop game and it would give me the same adrenaline than Left 4 dead with more variety.

Playing this demo makes me feel like a kid again. The game just has a fun factor that destroys other games. Im blown away by the following =

- Atmosphere

- The AI

- Sound quality

- Fun Factor

- The Coop Gameplay

- The Replayability

I was looking froward to this game before, but since putting 16+ hours into the demo, im just anticipating this games release even more.

Ohh yeah and when i saw this picture of the CORNFIELD map i got very excited. Now put how excited i was about the cornfield map (notice the john deer) and how blown away i am by the gameplay of the left4dead demo's coop, i simply cant wait!

The game has blown me away, i have just as much a right to be blown away by this game and enjoy it as you do to not like it.

Ive spent more time on this demo then the games ive bought this year. Its definatly worth the price IMO if a short demo keeps you hooked for as long as it has me.

Everyone has there own opinions and thats great, but please respect everyones opinions.

16 hours + on a demo = Me playing this game for countless amount of hours on the full version.

Im no fanboy, but if a game proves to be to have an extremely high fun factor then ill praise it for all its worth.

You may not think it's a goty contender, but it is; not saying it will win GOTY mind you.

I think it's safely sealed Multiplayer GOTY, and I think it's walking away with PC GOTY. However, Vilot has his reasons for not liking the game, and they're justified. I think the point is everyone looks for something different when they play games.

And I've played the demo for 30 hours, while some people could not stand playing Half an Hour, so don't tell me that I'll only play a little bit and move on.

If you've already played as much Serious Sam as I have, then you realize you need something new with great coop. :P

First, I played the 360 version demo and I did not like it. I think it was due to the graphics. It was really awful. I couldn't make out half the stuff, but I managed to play the entire demo just spraying zombies one by one. I also gave the PC demo a go, and boy I have to say, it's so much better. The graphics are beautiful on the PC version (of course) and it makes it a lot more enjoyable. I'll definitely be picking this one up on the PC. I predict high scores, because of the fun factor + ZOMBIES. Who doesn't like zombies?Elann2008

If a infection would break out in the real world you also wouldn't know how or why, only thing that matters is to stay alive and get out :) .

with the small cut sence there is enough story for me  (if they are at the start of each act) they add enough to give the caracters personality.

Plus what other people also wrote this is a multiplayer focused (think battlefield,counterstrike,unreal)game so there is always a shallow story (it wouldn't help the replay value ether).

I have seen youre posts on lack of story in a lot of topics and start to think that you didn't even give it a good try only playing 30 min.

but okay you don't have to like it what bothers me though is stating again again and again the fact that you want it to have a story.

My friend told me to download this but I was dubious at first because my PC isn't that great. But it works amazing! It doesn't ask much in specs which is awesome and I haven't stopped playing it since I got it installed. Shotgun+zombies= fun!

There is a backstory that unfolds throughout the game.The game has cool setpieces an a sort of 'Create your own story' feel to it, which can be pretty effective if you have an imagination.

t is a great game.

A co-op one hour zombie movie, what is not to love... only problem is that I'll have to buy the game on both the PC and 360 so I can play with all my gaming buddies. Getting swarmed by a mob of zombies is quite horrifying, I just kept screaming "effing save me save me!"

so why do they bother throwing in a SP compaign? Team Fortress 2 is MP only and it's been doing just fine. why does this game need the unnecessary SP portion?

anyway, I always thought this game being a MP only game and so have been very indifferent to it since I don't MP while gaming. now, since SP is simply a leftover or decoration...just keep being indifferent.

So if the game had a new engine it wouldn't be a mod? That logic has me perplexed, with this logic we can say that Bioshock isn't a game but a mod of UT3.. What game isn't? What game has 4 player co-op through the entire game? Along with a competitive zombie vs mode where you go through the campaign.. I could understand why people would dislike this game, but they sound like stuff like this is released all the time.. Please point it out to me because I don't see it.
