Firefox absolutely kills my HP Mini 1115NR, even with Flash and Java disabled.
Opera, on the other hand, runs like a dream, and it's an all-around great browser too. I highly recommend it.
Be wary of Chrome. It looks clean, but it can actually be pretty system intensive - particularly because each tab actually runs in its own instance of chrome.exe - and it doesn't take long at all for it to approach Firefox levels of CPU and memory consumption.
never tried opera before but I think chrome is the best for a netbook. I personally use it for my netbook as well.
The beta for Firefox 4 is pretty light. Which is good because the current official release of Firefox feels bloated. However it now looks like a Safari/Chrome clone.
Chrome happens to be worst than Firefox. Its running on about 120mbs while Firefox used 90. Its a little sluggish on one tab. I'll try Opera

Even when Chrome is using more RAM than FF it still loads pages faster. Normally... :P
Opera is definitely worth a try though.
