TO my knownledge they never even promised a demo to BEGIN with.. So I would be thankful.. And if the demo doesn't comeout before the game is released, tough..Must I point out that every top dev out there hardly ever gives a dead line? So in the end this is still crying about something that is certainly not required by a company..naval

Well you have two kids, you don't promise to give them candies, but you gave one of them a candy. you cannot say to the other 'see i didn't promise you anythhing. ( it know this example is too lame and obscure, but couldn't resist :) )

If people do not like it don't buy it, its far better and more productive then complaining.

sSubZerOo

so i guess its cool that you are not running a comapny dude, coz this kind of atitude never works, it looks cool only while speaking it. :)

Funny that your using children as a comparison because thats just what people are acting like....

No I am pointing out you guys are complaining about a company that did not PORT the game to PC but devolpedboth games side by side.. A company that already said they would not make a demo, but due to their hard work and how much they care for their fans they spent the extra time, money, and effort to make a demo..

So yes this is crying because you guys are complaining about something a company is doing everythign in their power to give us a demo that they didn't even promise or have to do to begin with.

Comparing to little kids. I couldn't have said it better myself.

okay then, a company does not promises its employee bonus, but gives bonus to some, without any fault of the other employess. so how will the others feel ?

This comparison would actually be intelligent if this parent had to make the candy THEM SELVES.

wow you conviently ignored the meaning of the example.

comapnies may gloat all they want how they gave proper attention to pc version, but thats what comapy do, sell their product. unless people get the game how will they found out how well was the port done ( 360 was the lead platform and they ported the game to pc and made modifications - not very about this though).

Here is what I see to make this comparison to make sense.. Two parents make a glorius meal painstakingly long and tedious so both children with different tastes to like (the pc and Xbox360).. The first parents finishs the Xbox child's meal and is able to make a candy for their one child.. The other parent spends alittle bit longer to make the meal due to it being more complicated... Now the PC people who are complaing are this crying idiot who can not realize that their meal was harder to make not to mention the candy it self was much more complicated to make...

Why in the hell should I have any sympathy for a crying idiot who can not realize that the parent had to spent a far greater effort to live up to standards.. And who is the child to say that their sibbling can't get the meal till they get it... If you have this kind of rational in life your going to be disapointed many times in your life.

its dinner time and still no starters ( candy) , pc child would be worried what's taking their parents extra time to make this dificult dinner. could the dinner be delayed, because of some problems ? he would not like to watch his 360 brother eat happily while he waits for the dinner with no definite answer when he will get it.

Well maybe that child shouldn't have ordered such a complicated meal.. And that person is indeed a child if they do not REALIZE that their order would take longer.

its the only meal he can have, so its either this or go hungry.

Complete and utter crap.. Longer dev times is somethign we have to put up with as a pc gamer.. Its a fine trade off for better graphics, customizability, mods etc etc. If people didn't want these kind of hang ups they should have went with console AKA the easier meal to make.

The only reason people were complaining was because they thought there would be no demo, not because they thought it was coming out later. But now we know it is coming out later,so its cool.

well to expect this is something else, but once they have released demo for 360, some information about pc version should also be given.

@rgsniper Great Post! I can totally see where you're coming from. However, I work at a software firm as well, and yes we push hard for deadlines. When we tell the customer something is going to be released on Aug 21, it is GD ready on Aug 21. ...unless it isn't ready. Then, we slip things. Problem with the game industry is it's even worse than us. Instead of honestly slipping something, they may even release it broken and just try to patch it later when it doesn't work. For me the concern is this: If the demo is late, then production is behind schedule. If production is behind schedule, we might see a product that is released on time but not "finished." I have almost EXACTLY the minimum specifications on this thing, which is supposed to look pretty good at low settings. If this thing is in ANY kind of slippage, it is dangerous to buy it. And, you can't always trust the demo (my Dark Messiah example) to tell you how the game will actually run on your system. So, buy it on launch day? No. Buy it at all? Maybe not until I upgrade my computer. ... this demo-slip/rush-out-the-door makes me really sheepish about minimum system reqs (especially after Lost Planet and Dark Messiah). It seems like most of the PC games that have come out are indeed lazy Xbox360 ports. I honestly think Unreal's engine is optimized for 360 not PC. You need "Unreal" hardware to run any PC game with that engine.

Actually we cannot be sure until the demo is released , but both ut 3 engine and bioshcok are nicely optimized for pc imo. no need to worry, it is definitely does not looks to be a lazy 360 port :)

As most of the poster already stated, a demo at this point is unnecessary, I'll just wait for the game's release.firefly026

People want to test how it would run on their PC before they buy it so I don't see why is it unnecessary. Unless you think that everyone has a uber PC

Just goes to show a lot of angry worded emails and forum posts with good grammar will make people take you seriously over the internet :P

weirjf

Good grammar? I think my complaint sounded something like:

"so, YOU GUYS, I swear demo! now, crap WTF!"

Stop that! You made me laugh.
