Kinda off topic, but does anyone know if you can download the game from Rockstarts site? My dvd drive just ground to a halt...

Do you have a retail copy bought? Just buy it on steam or something otherwise.

I've given it an hour this morning - it seems to work very well. My settings are either on high or very high (autodetected) and I noticed it was using about 800MB of VRAM when I was fiddling with the settings.
As far as I can tell, this is optimised. And even if it isn't, it's nowhere near the same level of rubbish that GTA4 inhabits.

[QUOTE="mitu123"]Another poster said it used 800mb for him/her @ 1080p. Not sure if it was maxed out though. But 1.9GB VRAM? There must be something wrong. :P Nope, lol:I just saw some screens that this game uses 1.9GB VRAM maxed out at 1080p.O_o

I see 1907MB.

Aren't your cards 1gb though? Having them in SLI doesn't double your available video memory.Nope, lol:[QUOTE="mitu123"]

The animations are governed by Euphoria as well. It makes perfect sense that you would require at least an i7 to play the game smoothly at high settings.KHAndAnimetoo many people overlook this fact. Look at every PC game that uses Euphoria for physics. It's an incredibly powerful physics device and requires a lot of power.

It uses that much when you use 8x MSAA
Looks like it it seems, oh well, too close to 2GB.D=I'm getting well over 100 FPS with everything max even tessellation. None of the option seem too taxing, with tessalation set to normal I was getting 120-145 FPS @1080p. Just dont use MSAA seems to eat up a lot of ram. I like the soft look FXAA gives anyways. Also I dont know what the other option from SSAO does, but I'm guessing its of higher quality. Anyways I'm enjoying the game, in act 4 atm.
