Great price for an entry level tv.....

Work in the TV business for more than 6 years now..... You will get ok results from this TV. Reasons.....

LCD that is 60Hz with an average response time of 8ms... When playing games...mainly 360 and PS3... the picture will seem to want to catch up with whats going on... not fun when you are trying to finish that boss off...

Wash out effect.... Does not have options to fix the brightness and color... Can look grey at times and really take away from the game you are playing...

Now, it is a great price and does have 1080p..... SO, how much does the picture quality mean to you.... If you want to really enjoy it and make your friends just look at you with jealous envy.... then this is not what I would suggest. Its basically an off brand of another TV company with the core guts ripped out to save money!

Depending on your set up..... Either go smaller to afford a Samsung or Sony.... Or depending again on set up and lighting... look at a DLP for price! Still one of the best for gaming because refresh rate is no problem at all!!

In your price range I would also consider looking at the Vizio GV42LF.

I picked one up about a year ago as a bedroom set. Its mainly used for gaming and a late night movie from time to time. This set also accepts 1080p through component should you need it, and produces decent but not great black levels once calibrated properly.
