Looking for a good gaming mouse

I had a G5 and it was a great mouse but the laser sensor stopped working. I play mostly FPS and MMORPG's. I've been looking at the Steelseries Xai and while it seems to have received alot of praise, it does cost $100. Any good recommendations? I also like to use a cloth mousepad as it feels comfortable to me.

I recently just got the Logitech MX518 optical gaming mouse on newegg for about $35. While i havnt had it for long im loving how it feels and how smoothly it runs. I think its just a pretty good mouse for the price.

Go get a Razer lachesis I use that on a cloth just fine. Yeah, dont take customer reviews too seriously just go buy it retail and have a feel for it. If you dislike it just return it.

I've had a few Razor mice in the past and a Logitech M5. The Logitech is still great and the Razor mice are great. If I were you I'd check out the Razor site:

I've been looking at the G500 but have heard alot of bad things about it (It does not track well on cloth pads, the sensor is horrible, bad sensor location, etc). Any input on the G500? I've also read about negative and positive acceleration.k0r3aN_pR1d3
