SO ive basically just finished my exams and im gonna have loads of free time for the summer waiting to start uni. I am looking at some games to get off steam and need some help choosing. Ive been playing loads of fable 2 on my 360 and i put in loads of hours for fallout 3 so im thinking about something around that region. I was looking at Elder scrolls iv oblivion or maybe fallout new vegas? Im not much of a pc gamer so the less complex the better and im trying to push away from fps games though all suggestions are great. Thanks in advance =)

Sine you have already played fallout 3, you shouldnt feel to alienated with Elder Scrolls IV. It is a very fun game and TONS OF SIDE QUESTS. But make sure you get the DLC that goes with it (Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles) both add a lot of good quests and items. You are going to kill a lot of hours with that one.

Or you can always try the STALKER series, another awesome game.

Oblivion will definitely keep you busy for weeks, even if you manage to completely finish it, theres still hundreds of mods to try out afterwards.

I know that you're trying to get away from fps, but you could try Chaser,a fps that was released about 8 years ago. It looks dated compared to current games but I enjoyed it, plus the sp is about 20+ hours (for me anyway).

Railworks. There is a very large amount of DLC for it and most comes with more scenarios to complete in career mode.

Mount & Blade: Warband would do the trick. It is a bit difficult at first but the complexity is in the controls and not the game itself, so once you figure those out in a couple of hours you are gold. The game has a singleplayer and multiplayer function.

In the singleplayer you lead a band of warriors across a giant sandbox doing quests, uniting with factions to take land or even carving your own set of land out. All this is done on an overworld with 'hubs' where you meet people from factions or do battle. Make no mistake in that the battles are where the game shines. You can join up to 200ish (no mods, I've gotten it to 500 on each side before making my PC cry) soldiers that you can order into formations (not important but a nice touch) while you join the fray yourself.

The multiplayer is basically counterstrike meets the singleplayer battles. You play as the one soldier on a team of 32ish human players who buys upgrades as kills are scored and whatnot like in counterstrike.

Give the demo a go: you get the full singleplayer game until level 7.

Borderlands surprised me. Sure it's FPS but there is RPG elements and worthy of at least two play throughs with the main game and each DLC for the challenge. RAPTR has 115 hours logged for me, furlongs in front of any other game.

If you're looking to kill time with strategy the Total War games are the way to go. Be wary though as they can be a system hog, at least the last 3 iterations of the game.

Also, there is of course Starcraft 2. Also, if you haven't played the orange box do yourself a favor and play all of Half life 2 and Team fortress 2 is amazing on PC!!!
