Looking For a Good Tactical Shooter

With an emphasis on SP, not into MP so much. But I want something with some realistic gunplay, I have too many of UT3 type games and was looking for something a bit more sobering.

Vegas 2 - $20 (steam)

GRAW 2 - $20 (steam)

Hmm, SWAT 4 you say? Never played any games in this series, is there a steep learning curve? I am already familiar with the gameplay in GRAW and Vegas, that's why I was leaning towards those.

Original Ghost recon has 2 expansions.. these are really, really great and I would begin with them, Swat 3 GOTY is almost perfect check the users reviews here on GS, Swat 4 is same as 3 with new graphics and different missions, also has bigger community lately, GRAW and GRAW 2 are somehow strange I personally didn't like them, also there is a rainbow 6 series which contains first one and expantion, R6 Rogue spear + 3 expantions and third one was named Raven shield which has 2 expantions... next is lockdown and vegas + vegas 2 but I do not recommend them to play if you want good tactical shooter.. what you can also try is Full spectrum warrior (the 1st one is freeware now!) and it has sequel too but they are not shooters just tactical games (if you are hardcore DUDE try Full spectrum command)... btw I don't consider OFP and Arma to be tactical either at least not SP maybe resistance was a little bit.. And last there is Hidden and dangerous (1st one is now freeware too!) and H&D2.. And also there was some Spec Ops or something I don't remeber that game anymore...

BlackFlag does not consider ARMA tactical?......LOL.....What does he consider tactical then?....The Sims?.......this is the dumbest thing I think I have seen.

Marine Sharpshooter is good imo. A bit old (2003 release) but the game play is good and focuses on tactics, observation, and long range engagement

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway and R6V2 are good.

and of course the legendary Rainbow Six Raven Shield, the last real tactical rainbow six game
vegas is just a shooter, you kill around 100 guys or more on every deployment with 3 guys, and the only reason it is hard is because the very stupid AI has aim-bots, ones i actually saw fire coming at me when the enemy weapon was still pointing at the ground, yet the bullets hit me and killed me.
enemies dont feel anything when being hit, i guess they are all blowing cocaine all day. youregenerate health!!! this alone throws the whole realistic tactical shooter concept out of the window. no mission planning.

Rainbow Six Raven Shield, Original GHOST RECON and Operation Flashpoint where the last REAL realistic/tactical shooters imo.

With that being, Vegas1 and Vegas2 are fun to play with a few friends (despite it being not nearly as realistic or tactical as the classic rainbow6 games).
