Yeah so i'm looking for a graphics for gaming that i do online. I usually play EVE, WOW, Runescape, and a few others... I really have no idea what so ever to look for or where to to even start. Though i was trying to look around, i found this :

EVGA e-GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card

Would this be even close to suitable for what i am looking for?

A completely new rig is what you need, you pc is obsolete. If you don't have the money to afford a new computer right now start saving rather than wasting money pointlessly upgrading your ancient rig.

Alright, while it's true that to get the best out of PC gaming you'll have to buy a new PC, a decent GPU will improve your current gaming experience. You cna always keep the GPU when you decide to buy a new mobo + CPU.

Give us a budget and we can help you out.

Do you know what the power supply on your computer is? You need a good power supply to run a better graphics card. You will most likely need to buy a new power supply.

New RIG dude.....sorry. You could try to upgrade that as much as possible, but TRUST ME, it will be a lot less painful if you buy a new gaming machine...

newegg, but list what you have right now. Open the case and read the power supply sticker on the side. Im pretty sure the warranty for that computer is long over anyway.

I'm sorry man but until you get yourself a new video card, you should start with a new computer with a modern CPU and everything first. Pentium 4 is very outdated today to play with the latest games and believe me I own a old computer that has a Pentium 4 3.0GHz and it can't even run on the latest games in the minimum settings. I had to buy myself a new PC which lucky for me came with a good card, cpu and everything else.

Sorry I meant games that came out this year (Not counting indie games but mainstream ones) and not last year or before. Unless I'm wrong and there are still some 2010 games that can Pentium 4 can handle.

Try local shops for beginning... you need at least descent 400W power supply. Also dont waste money on new stuff - this pc is too old.

I suggest you try to buy some used stuff via craigslist or ebay if you are in states. If i where you i buy:

Descent power supply: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=antec+power+supply&_frs=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m359

Vide card: http://cgi.ebay.com/GeForce-GTX-285-1GB-video-card-Mac-Ed-NVidia-EVGA-Apple-/150526677076?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item230c16d054

Be sure to check if your pc acceepts AGP or PCI-express video cards. Probably pci-express.

sorry dude you're really out of luck with that computer you have. You should save up your money instead of getting a video card and build a new comp. They're really cheap these days. You can get a decent one for less than $300.
