Looking for a massive shooter.

Hello,

For a long time i havent played a shooter on the PC and moved a bit over playing games like halo and bad company 2 on the xbox.
But now i wanted to have some good PC shooter whit many players in a server ( which i dislike at the xbox that most of the shooters only support up to 18 players. )

I really enjoyed playing battlefield 1942 and soldier of fortune double helix back in the day.
So are those games still alive or are there some other good shooters with big massive battles around on the PC?

If you want massive ARMA 2 is the only way to go. Frontlines is dead and was dead when it was released, I don't know why anyone would reccomend that.
