Hey everyone. Followed the forums but never really made any posts. Was looking for some advice. I want to get into a new RTS game. Last one I was really into was BFME 2 I want a new one with a good population. Thing is I do not want one that looks like a cartoon. Not a big fan of that. Seems like most of the RTS games have a cartoon feel to them. Any suggestions?
Starcraft 2. Not *just* an RTS game, a whole hobby in itself. Also happens to be an excellent RTS game with excellent single player and fantastic (and mostly balanced) multiplayer with a HUGE community that cares...though sometimes it cares a little bit TOO much. Kinda hard to get into though, but the league system makes sure you play opponents your level *most* of the time.
Company of Heroes doesn't have a super big community, but is still none the less fun and looks good still. Starcraft 2 is the current one your going to be finding a huge community on though. It is super competitive, and has a huge learning curve for multiplayer compared to singleplayer.
Starcraft 2, Men of War and pretty much every Total War game (theres lots of mods too if you want like lord of the rings total war or something like that :))
Thank you for all the responses. Looks like the general idea would be suck it up and try SC2. I have COH and mess around with that every now and then as well. Hopefully End of Nations is a good game as well when it comes out but who knows with f2p. So to cartoon or not to toon that is the question. haha

Then SC2 you cant go wrong with it. Very competitive , lots of new patches, lots of people playing, overall a good balanced match making system. I can't argue with that then. Downloading the demo now to see how I feel about it. Thanks
