Hey,

I am searching for a good strategy game where you can develop your economy and form alliances,

with diplomacy and a nice big army, could you suggest any games?

empire total war is coming at the end of next month....pretty much guranteed classic i think (though it wont score AAA here). it has all ure criteria, develop the economy, form alliances and field armies numbering in the thousands (literally). if u have the rig to run it then i couldnt recommend any other game really. if u have steam then try the demo. if ure PC is a bit older then try Medieval 2 and rome total war....both crackin games. personally i prefer rome because i prefer that period in history but there both fantastic. going away from the total war games: sins of a solar empire is also top notch. it doesent have a single player campiagn but u can set up a skirmish on a hige map and itll last you hours. if u like playing online (and who doesent?...ok i dont :P) then all the better. again it has diplomacy and huge fleets and economy management. if ure interested in turn based strategy then galactic civ 2 may be of interest. i quite enjoyed the demo and will buy the game when i can (im a poor student at the mo :( ). sid meiers civ games are also very kewl.

Any of the recent Total War (Medieval 2 is pretty good and you can get the Gold version for $20) games or the new one coming out next week.

ditto medieval total war 2 gold is cheap now - my favorite game of all time. although empire total war will be out soon and i think that will steal the crown.

World In Conflict, Company of Heroes, and Supreme Commander. Also Empire is supposed to be realsing a multiplayer campaign map after the game is realeased.
