Hey guys, I'm brand new to these forums but I believe I'm in the right spot for this type of question. I just put together a new, really fast, pc and I want to play some epic RPG/Sandbox/Open World type games on it. What games would you recommend I try? I'm mainly looking for games that will last me a VERY long time, have good plots, and good replay value. BTW, I have already played Morrowind, Oblivion, Mass Effect 1 & 2, FallOut New Vegas, GTA 4 & San Andreas, and Dead Space and have loved those. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks, Jet
Baldur's Gate 2 if you're okay with old, 2D graphics. Unlike most games, in BG2 the world does not revolve around the player. If party members don't like you or other party members, they will leave the party or even fight to the death. If an NPC has an urgent quest for you, it really is urgent (you better do it soon). When you make choices, they matter. Some people will die by your choices, others will live. There is no pleasing everyone.
Dwarf Fortress, ADOM, NETHACK, Dominions 3: The Awakening. Those are really epic games, each one of them can destroy your life. If you are more of a mainstream persuassion, Mass Effect 1 & 2 i finished both and feel good about it.
STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl with 'Complete 2009' mod. Challenging, immersive, unique, heavily atmospheric...all the qualities of a good PC game are there.
