I already played mass effect 1 and 2

I am looking for a game that has an epic story, I was thinking about the last remnant but I dont like the battles system to well

I really like both final fantasy 7 and 8 and am looking for a game that would be similar.

BTW I am not really into star wars I dont really consider it an option.

Epic as in "save the world from eternal evil", or epic as in "immortal classic"? Short list: Jade Empire, Dragon Age, The Witcher, Neverwinter Nights 2. Fallout 3 or Oblivion, I suppose, or the first Fable. Oh, and Morrowind.

Ah, too bad you don't like star wars cuz KOTOR is epic :P

From the ones mentioned above, I've played Dragon Age and Fable and both are really great.

You should really give Kotor a chance. Also as mentioned above Morrowind.

I'd say Alpha Protocol dammit, but you seem like the type who won't look past its flaw.s

On topic, The Witcher.

If you have a PS2 or PS1, pick up a copy of Final Fantasy IX. You can get them brand new for 15 bucks. It's not a PC game, but it's right up your alley.

A warning about KOTOR:

I tried to install the disc version (4 CD's) on my Windows 7 64 bit edition and it just won't work. Tried the compatibility mode and it plays but frequently crashes. I suspect the same is happening on the steam version. Just look for yourself in the forums at LucasArts.

I rarely play Offline games (single player only), but I've bought recently Dragon Age: Origins for 30$ because I read all the reviews and everyone agrees that this game is epic, so I gave it a try.

Buy it now! It's simply amazing and I'm playing it more than Starcraft 2 lol! Read the reviews 1st and watch some gameplay videos! And it's only 30$ so...

Gothic 2 Gold - If I could only pick one it would be Gothic 2 Gold.

It's MASSIVE, balances epic story and free roaming better than any other RPG I've ever played.

Once I found out I could change the .ini file to

zVidResFullscreenX=1680
zVidResFullscreenY=1050
zVidResFullscreenBPP=32

and - extendedMenu=1

plus - forcing 16x AF, and 8xQ AA, with the nvidia control panel

- - - the game is beautiful as well as brilliant.
