I just got $1000 in cash from my parents for XMAS and I am not sure what to spend it on. I am currently torn between getting a bigger HDTV or a PS3 250 gig. I currently have a Magnavox 37" 720p LCD. It is a decent TV, but I kind of wish I had something bigger and 1080p. At the same time, getting a PS3 would allow me to pair it with my 360 and have all of the great games I want and BluRay as well. What are your thoughts on this one?

I agree. Plus you wont notice that much difference between 1080p and 720p under 40".

Get the 120GB slim, and if you need a bigger hdd, get a laptop one and swap the 120GB for bigger, and look for a 1080P LCD/LED/Plasma with the money left over.

Wrong. The difference between 720p and 1080p is the same at 22" as it is at 100". It depends on viewing distance, Screen size alone does not alter resolution (as it is fixed).
