Alright I'm looking to get a new gaming PC, this will also be my first gaming PC, it needs to be under/around $1000 and I'm looking to get these parts. My goal mainly is to play Crysis on high-very high averaging about 35-40 FPS.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU @ 3.0GHz 1333FSB 6MB L2 Cache 64-bit
MOTHERBOARD: Asus P5N-E nForce 650i SLI Chipset LGA775 FSB1333 DDR2 Mainboard
MEMORY: 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory
PSU: 600 Watts Power Supply
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX 512MB 16X PCI Express
I'm mainly on edge about the CPU and the GPU, I'm thinking I could possibly lower the price somewhat by changing the CPU to a E6850 without too much of a difference, and I've heard many things about ATI's 4850 being very powerful but cheaper than most of NVIDIA's cards. Any suggestions, or does this look good? The total came to around 990 dollars. Thanks in advance.
