Yes it seems its all down. The website, the forums, the game.. its like Turbine didn't pay its bills.. or they had some sort of real world disaster/fire? who knows. Dungeons and Dragons online appears down as well

I'm guessing their internet connection is down may be down. A traceroute to their DNS server (ns1.dns.turbine.com at 74.201.102.105) stops at an ISP and doesn't make it through. And you can't resolve any turbine.com or lotro.com names because their DNS servers are hosted on their own servers.
Hopefully it will be back up soon... On a side note..it would be hillarious if turbine was hacked by "white collar" hackers to show they actually DO have a problem with thier site being compromised.
Game went down on me at 9:30 am PST west coast USA - Was near Evendim Lotro got stuck couldnt move thought it was me. Reloaded, got data error. Researched online Turbine, Lotro Forum, Game itself down. Geeks were all over it stating to run this run that install this do that on other sites. I sort of used common sense that if it was just the game it might be me but not all the related sites as well. So, tick tock. Bummer I was enjoying myself on a nice quiet Sunday. lol Update us if any of you get on lotro! Thanks ^^

To be fair, they'll probably make an announcement there when the servers are back up. And I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Until we know what's going on, there is no point in speculating. Now, what else do I have that I can play... *wanders off towards Steam client*

January 30, 2011 Holy Smokes the LotRO servers and forums have been down for two hours or more! This is really unfortunate because it is Sunday and the time I wanted to play. Please get them up again soon Turbine.

Why wouldn't it be? They lose revenue every minute the game is down. They want this up a lot more than we do... all we are missing out on is play time. They are losing money, which for a corporation is a lot worse. Trust me, they're working their rear ends off, doing everything in their power to get the servers online. The game will be back up as soon as it's humanly possible.

Yes that is correct. All LOTRO servers are in Egypt. The GLFF chat is constaly used by the Muslim Brotherhood. Good move on Egypts part.

Well actually I've subscribed for ten dollars a month. It's a pittance really but I would like to be able to access a service that I have payed for when I have the time to do so. That's annoying. How much does nintendo charge you to play mario brother's every month?
