Hi everyone, I'm starting to save for a computer, and I know building one would be much cheaper and laptops arn't that great for gaming, but do you think the M11x with a i5 processor will run some current gen games pretty well? I want something that's mobile that will still be pretty useful for gaming.

Please use the hardware forum- mod

Don't buy an Alienware, you get 70% Brand and 30% Computer for the price.

I know there prices are very high, I looked at Ibuypower but I found poor reviews on them. For the same price there's a laptop with a Radeon 5XXX series for the same price as the M11x. Do you know anything about Ibuypower?

Dang man... Should have made this thread back in July... A gift key that was supposed to remain private got leaked to the interwebz, offering 25% off Alienwares at Dell... And Bing Cashback was still around and had a 20% rebate on Dell for a while... With those combined, people were getting M11x's for $600... It was epic.

This MSI laptop is $150 more than the base m11x and has a gpu over 9000 times better, a 17" screen, and an i5 @ 2.26GHz...

Though if you need a small laptop like the m11x (11"), it is the only laptop that small with gaming hardware in it...

Thats a stupid assessment. The only reason to buy the m11x is because of its size, if he wanted a 17" gaming notebook then you can definetly spend less but you're paying for one of the smallest gaming notebooks in the world, thats what the price is for. Everyone and their mothers can find affordable gaming laptops 15-17" with NO problem.

And sorry, back on topic, the M11x is great for its price. I bought one that was "Previously Ordered New" (basically you get it cheaper cuz someone ordered it and returned it without using it) and I got 20% off of it.
