If a MAC is what you are into, that is fine. But for me its PC all the way.

Mac so I can pay $4k to have specs the price of a $500 pc. Then end up buying Windows OS/parallels so I can run games, at least I won't get viruses when I go on adultery sites.

I use a Macbook Pro, If I could play any pc games on it it would be amazing lol. I got it as a gift, but I would much rather have a PC for gaming. Macs just don't have any good games, thank god I just bought an xbox 360.

Pc ftw. Only thing the Mac has going for it for me is Final Cut and Logic but I'll settle for Premier Pro, Vegas and Cubase.

PC for gaming and hardware options/upgradeability, hands down. But for other software applications, such as music, casual internet surfing, email, chat, etc, I have to go with a Mac. I don't know how many times that I lean over to my laptop to go on the internet or IM or mess w/ email when I have my rig with a 24" right in front of me.

Macintosh sells their computers at Alienware prices, but doesn't have any games.

I suggest getting a PC. Want a Mac? Get Linux.

Mac pricing infuriates me. They pick on the naive, guliible and lazy who actually believe that the extra price must somehow be justified in a superior product. There's nothing you can do on a Mac that you can't do for a quarter of the price on PC. A 2GB RAM upgrade for over £80 ($120) ?!! How do they continue to get away with it?

PC, the only place Macs actually beat PCs is in video/picture editing. And even then PCs are still great.

Not quite.

To be or wannabe. That is the question.

Mac has never had much in the way of support from game developers.

Macs are nice machines, but are rather lackluster for gaming unless you want to blow 2500+ US$ on a Mac Pro with an upgraded graphics card, and another 100-180 US$ on a Windows license. (And even then, the baseline 2500 US$ price doesn't even include the second CPU, which would help justify such an incredulous cost...) Custom-built PCs offer far more bang for your buck gaming-wise, even if they're not quite as nicely designed and lack things like FireWire Target Disk Mode (which basically turns the Mac into an external FireWire drive to connect to other Macs). That's just the desktop line, though-on the laptop side of things, Apple is tough to beat when it comes to the MacBook Pros. Even the baseline MacBooks have become respectable after the switch to NVIDIA graphics, though I can't forgive them for yanking out FireWire (and Target Disk Mode along with it) from the Unibody models. Still, you've only got a GeForce 9400M in the recent MacBooks and the addition of a 9600M in the Unibody MBPs (yes, they have the 9400M as well if you want to switch GPUs and increase battery life somewhat at the cost of 3D performance), and you can easily get a PC laptop for 1000-1200 US$ with a better GPU...if you don't mind the lack of battery life, multi-touch trackpad, and FireWire Target Disk Mode, anyway.
