I have the new 15in. Macbook Pro and I am running Bootcamp. But on the Vista side there is a white line at the bottom of the screen like where the dock would be on OS X. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks!

It looks like your wallpaper resolution doesn't match your desktop resolution. I bet if you check what color the background is it is white. Try resizing your wallpaper or switching to fill mode instead of fit. BTW, where can I download your wallpaper? :)

No it isn't a resolution problem. The picture is 1440 x 900 and that is what my resolution is set to. I have also seen this problem on the new 13" macbook pros, but at a lower resolution obviously. And here is my wallpaper.

You might try changing back grounds and then going back to this one. For whatever reason any time vista updates it cause all sorts of problems similar to this. For instance every time vista updates my mom has to uninstall and reinstall her scanner. I've looked at it myself and its not just a simple PEBCAC (Problem Exists Between Computer And Chair) error. But with a mac who knows. May be an incompatibility issue with Vista and OS X. Or you might try loading up the image into Paint or Adobe Photo/ Fax reader or whatever its called on vista to make sure the line isn't just part of the image that you don't normally see.

Ok, try with the other wallpaper backgrounds, if the other one is ok, it would be a problem with the wallpaper background that previously used. You can try eliminating the white line by open the wallpaper background picture by windows paint and go to the rectangular dotted line and stretch to select the picture region and copy it into the microsoft office picture manager and check whether the white line was removed or not. If the white line was removed, just use the picture and set it as wallpaper background.

I've tried other images and still see the same exact thing. Maybe it has to do with something the drivers because that is where the dock is in OS X. I don't think I am the only person with this problem so I was just curious if anyone had seen a fix of some sort. Oh well.

What driver version are you using for the video card? Is it the stock drivers from the bootcamp disk or did you manually update them?

The main question is why in the world are you running Windows on a Mac? That is like putting Pepsi into a Coke bottle...all bad! :P
