Mass Effect 1 -- quest planting the bug or something: where is Emily Wong?!?

Mini-spoilers ahead, read on your own risk (read if you have already played Mass Effect 1):

I did plant the bug, I'm in the Presidium right now and the map tells me as if she was right in front of me, but she is not. No upper or lower levels (as I thought she might be somewhere above or below, in that exact direction).

Googling, I found this: http://meforums.bioware.com/viewtopic.html?topic=637036&forum=127. The user is having the exact same issue, and someone responds that she would be in the Citadel Tower, after the bug is planted. In fact, that's what the journal says in the first place (to report to her in the Citadel Tower), except that she isn't there either.

So I can't conclude the quest. Is that a glitch or something, is this quest really broken? Please help.

It isn't a bug I have run into, have you flown away from the Citadel and done another mission then come back and see if Emily is there then ? That is the best thing I can advise you to do.

If I remember it right then I think she is in the "Casino" area (sorry can't really remember the name of the place) I think it called Flux or something.DarkblueNinja

Nah you are thinking of the first time you meet Emily Wong. The second time you meet her she asks you to do that bug thing in the control tower and you are meant to meet her in the Citadel Tower at the steps to the Council Chamber if I remember correctly.

After meeting Emily Wong in the wards and finishing her first side quest (giving her the information about the smuggler) she moves to the Citadel Tower and can be found at the base of the Council Chambers steps. If I remember correctly this is where she asks you to bug Citadel ATC.

Ok guys I just got home it is 3:14 AM here now... I need to go to sleep, tomorrow I'll check all the info, I'll look for her in the cited places and let you know. Thanks a bunch everybody.

No I went looking for her right away. If I do so she will be there when I come back then? Why is that? I'll do as you say, thanks.

Well technically speaking she should be there after you do the bug, I just suggested doing another mission in the hope that when you revisit the Citadel she spawns like she is supposed too. At the end of the day it can't hurt to try it. The only other suggestion I can think of is for you to load an earlier save game and try the mission again.

I have done a fair few playthroughs of Mass Effect and yeah it is as buggy as hell (especially Noveria) but I haven't come across this particularly bug before. Anyway good luck and let us know how things work out.
