You won't find accurate data on that and it's irrelevant, you shouldn't even bother yourself with such questions.
This is the thing that always bugs me, we are constantly bombarded with "the PC is dying" but no one ever bothers to tell us actual sales figures for software titles. However they are always dead eager to go "oh our game was pirated 7 gazillion times", in fact they never shut up about complaining how many copies of their game were pirated. You sometimes get the feeling they don't want us to know the sales figures because we might start thinking "WTF you sold millions of copies and you are still moaning".
From what I see, Mass Effect 2 sales are through the roof. I had to wait a few days for my retail shop to restock the Collector's Edition while the normal edition of Mass Effect 2 still sat there. Some websites report ME2 to be number 1 pc sales at the moment, generally.
That might be because there's always a very limited number of CE. For all we know your local store could have sold four copies of the game. ME2 is currently the most sold game in Finland but the country's small and there's no telling how much of that goes to the 360 version. Unless EA announces the sales for both versions, we'll never know how much the PC version has sold. From what I see, Mass Effect 2 sales are through the roof. PC dying? I don't think so. Many, like me, grew up playing gameson the PC. I just recently bought an Xbox 360, it's not like playing on PC, it works, but computer is much better for gaming.

It's selling at #3 on Steam.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is #1 atm.
Just like Oblivion funny enough. The crowd for traditional RPG's seems much larger on the pc than it does for on consoles. Mass Effect 2 may not be traditional, but I'm sure they felt that ME1 did well enough to warrant releasing the PC version simultaneous to the console one.they did fine, I think Dragon Age might have even sold best on pc.

You wont find any but the best think you will find is this
sales of the sequel on PC are around three times greater than opening week sales of Mass Effect 1 on PC
So i guess sales are really good
Now if the sales of the first game led them to release PC ME2 in the same day as the 360 as opposed to ME1 i guess it will happen with ME3 as well
